Went for one last visit to Perry Barr before it shuts, Awful track, down to dusty base on inside & no grip out wide. Dan Bewley busting a gut up by the fence & losing ground!

I always thought Poole set the standards of running a professional club.... shame they cannot maintain their starting gate .

Happened right in front of me. First time ref called it back. Then it happened again and I questioned why on earth the start Marshall hadn’t tied it up. Then, unbelievably it happened a third time and the Marshall ran over,grabbed it and got behind the fence as the riders entered the 3rd bend, holding it above his head for the race. Just didn’t understand why it wasn’t secured properly in the first place.

Please explain the relevance? I went to a speedway meeting to a place that is closing soon. Went to Oxford on Sunday as well. Going British Masters this weekend, it’s what speedway fans do. You are one weird bloke 😂😂

Happened 4 times - once in Heat 7, once in Heat 11 and twice in Heat 15. I don't understand why it wasn't replaced by the spare starting tape sat on the centre green, especially since the Oxford management had already complained about it. 

It was just complete farce. I expect more than that of Poole.

Not so much Poole Rob, just one individual who should have tied it tight first time it happened. Never seen something like this before, though seen faulty tapes on many occasions. Agree the race should have been stopped but the ref let it go, not the club.

Unbelievable, blatantly cheating, complete stupidity, very  dangerous and Poole fans cheering him,bspl need to step in and fine Poole and give Oxford the points. Poole win at all cost mentality over stepping the mark at every level. All the evidence is there to see.

Oxford on a 5-1 race stopped. Poole on a 5-1 and the marshal nearly drops a boll11ok, trying to dangerously keep the race going. Someone needs to be fined..

Stops with the ref unless he told the start marshall not to do that. You don't know what the communication was after the first stoppage of H15.

The start marshal should also be aware of the rules, as they’re bound by them. If they were asked to do something that clearly wasn’t safe, they should have refused.

He shouldn't have to tell the start marshal not to that. He should know not to.. It's dangerous !!  He didn't do it earlier, after all. But Oxford were on a 5-1 then. And if the ref did tell him to do it if it happened again (Heat 15), then the ref looks incompetent, and should be accountable. Both should know better. I wonder what would of happened if the marshal let it the tape slip, and it caught a rider on the was past. If i was Oxford I would let it go.
