Nikki
From this years team I'd have Harris, Flint, Nagel & Hodder back, the latter who is at least from what i have seen miles more a better rider than Perry. I'd personally break the bank to get Cooper Rushen & I think Tate Zischke would be good too on his average. Indeed, as a Bandit fan, you should be pleased, as it allows all the teams to work closer to a reasonable budget. If, in fact, this proposal is adopted! Can't understand why he appears to be Poole bound. Surely he would learn more - how to overtake experienced riders , how to use different lines, how to ride grippy tracks etc - by choosing a track other than Poole.

Not really that difficult to understand, is it? Almost guaranteed trophies, a stable club, doubtless a good financial/sponsorship package. I assume it's also one of the closest Championship tracks to him, too, which helps being a 16yo. I know Glasgow fans are still unhappy about the track in the PO final, but if you're in Rushen's position and Poole are interested then it's very easy to see why he'd go there.

Chris Harris (9.13) Jody Scott (3.92) Leon Flint (7.13) Tate Zischke (5.76) Kyle Howarth (8.12) Sam Hagon (3.57) Jordy Loftus (2.19) Total: 39.82 (but will be lower with 2.5% reductions, which I couldn't be bothered to calculate as this team is below 40 anyway). As always, purely for fun before the final green sheet has been issued - I had something similar as one of my draft teams on my spreadsheet - Harris, Zischke, Flint, J Thompson, Howarth, Hodder, Loftus - slightly over the 40pts. InTheDeepStuff
Top three of Harris, Howarth and Flint (I’d add Morris to that four but pretty sure he’s back at Berwick on what is a steal of an average) should grab a decent amount of points one and away, a less top heavy team will allow to have one slightly stronger reserve at 6 and hope there’s a 0.5 point increase each in the engine room and reserves in case some mid season tinkering needed 1 Harris 8.90 2 Jake Mulford 4.26 3 Leon Flint 6.95 4 Tate Zischke 5.43 5 Kyle Howarth 7.92 6 Sam Hagon 3.48 7 Freddie Holder 2.63 Averages = 39.57
bringbackHalifax
I am not a Poole fan but I am fed up of the jealousy on here. Poole look after riders well, but they do not pay /package close to Glasgow, Edinburgh, Plymouth. They offer more matches, a winning mentality and pay very quickly. Matt works on his team well in advance of others and he has no shortage of riders wanting to ride there, equally they have riders who know they can earn more per point elsewhere. As Neil Middleditch said when asked by Bsn, Matt looks for riders who have the potential to increase their average. You won’t see Tobias Thomson or Paul Starke next year. You either have ‘it’ or not IMO when it comes to that department.

When you gate like Lawson it is much easier and passing becomes less necessary. To become a top rider you need to gate well, it is partly why Harris struggled at gp level.
