Poole 2026

Good signing getting coops, but imo will struggle at home as Poole is not noted as a track to pass on, young cooper not the best of gaters at present. But is a rider that I would travel a distance to watch as I think he has got great potential, don't spoil that pirates

All riders need to gate at some point, you cant always come from the back even at a big track like Glasgow.

Fair play to the Ford's they have done it again they have got two of the best UK prospects on false averages, one of the best riders in the league in Lawson, Cook should crack on further and is destined for bigger things, Gilks if he stays injury free should improve.

I've never really rated Kerr although he is brave as they come but he's one of these riders who can score 3 -13 on any given night, Bowes I don't know much about but if anyone can get improvement out of him its the Fords.

I know they are marmite but they run a tight ship at a profit most years but where they are masters is getting riders in on false averages.

It was pretty obvious last year whoever got Cairns in so long as the other six weren't dog awful should win the league.

Although I would have loved to have seen him the other teams must be heaving a sigh of relief Bailey isn't riding over here as in my opinion that lad is the best aussie prospect since Darcy Ward I reckon if he came in on four he would have ended up on six or seven at seasons end.

You never know in Speedway. Looking like the Anders Rowe defection has worked out well though. Cook the better rider in my opinion. Cairns should kick on while young Cooper finds his feet. Definitely two reserves with bags of potential.

Anders wasn't so great after groin injury, and Cook got better after Belle View commitments ended. Yes seems that bit has to have worked out well for Poole. Yes the reserves have bags of potential but at this moment aren't the best in the league, look to Redcar's Ace Pijper and Jodi Scott for that. Kerr will of course need to sort his mechanicals. Gilkes has sound potential, Bowes not so sure but should at least hold his own. Lawson well just have to hope he can maintain his high level, because Poole replied heavily upon him last year. But all in all Pirates should be right up there, but all the clean sweep type talk I'm not so sure.

I don't think it matters which track(s) he rides on/for, the boy is going to be a superstar.

Agreed if Coops, Cairns and Scott keep level headed and avoid bad injuries all three should have huge futures and should be the core of future England world team cup squads assuming UK speedway hasn't totally collapsed over next 2-3 years.

I think Cooper needs to have some of the weight of expectation lifted off his young shoulders. Too many lads were going to be a superstar the minute they hit 16. Like Joe Haines 20 years ago or more recently Kyle Bickley, Archie Freeman, Ashton Boughen, even Will Cairns. At 15/16 they are still growing, some up the way, some round the way, some both, and body size and shape can be critical.
I’m hopeful he’ll do exceptionally well and, certainly for his first year at this level, he’s going to the team with arguably the best manager and the Poole fans will get behind him as they do all the triers.

Poole have signed a fantastic rider so people have to start talking about the track, a track that has some of best racers around come back year after year, Holder Ward BenCook Harris.

The track talk is boring, and is only a topic as Poole tweaked it to benefit them vs Glasgow

its been a topic way before that, its been awful for years now.

The end result justifies the means.
