Hope Tate and Cookie are paired together they rode so well together last time 5-1s incoming ! 4 hours ago, Supersteady84 said: Will cook be at number 5 or at 3 with tate at 4 considering they were brilliant together 🤷♂️🤷♂️ Cook & Zischke together would leave Batchelor at 5, mostly paired with a reserve, so not sure on that. I'd generally have the 2nd heat leader at 5, especially if he's as good as a number one to give real strength in heat 13 especially. So far the team looks really decent (as long as Cook starts the season). Edited 23 hours ago by szkocjasid

Batch for 2 seasons has been the backbome of the side and gets knocked for his one off poor performances when over the whole he held the side together. This is looking one exciting team 🤩
scaramanga
might even see batch at 5 at home and cookie at 5 away
TheWellBehavedWorrall
Delighted to see Cook back this season. I’ve been critical of some instances involving him in the past, but a British speedway without Craig Cook is a sadder, less entertaining and lower in quality place. Really strong side being built at Northside.

Cookie at home was very good two seasons ago. Batch is so much better away than he is at home

Teromaafan
The fact that Cookie has been given yet another opportunity to ride is a reflection on the short fall of riders willing to race in this country. Whilst I hope he can ‘find himself’ next season for the benefit of Worky and UK speedway, the Comet’s promotion should already be looking at eligible replacements on his average in readiness for the inevitable.
Diamonds85
Zaine Kennedy and a 2.00er fits with 0.01 remaining 1 Jeppesen 2 Kennedy 3 Cook 4 Zischke 5 Batchelor 6 Foord 7 2.00er Personally I'd put Cook at 4 and Zischke at 3 to give a stronger heats 13, 14 and 15, but I don't see that actually happening. Marksman
Andrew basically confirmed in the live YouTube interview he did last night that one of the final 2 riders would be from outside UK speedway. Can only assume that this will be a 5.00 or 4.00 rider

Andrew mentioned he may be looking further afield (outside UK). He also claimed that Ashton Boughen is wanting to make a return to speedway.

He finished 2023 with 2.62 and didnt ride in 2024 or 2025. Now, I'm presuming he'll get his 2.5% reduction for 2024, plus the two lots of 8% for not riding in 2024 and 2025. That would put him at 2.16. If he didnt get the 2.5%, it would be 2.22
cheggie
55 minutes ago, geoff100 said: Daft question whar av would kyle bickley come back on? Around 2.22 based on an 8% average reduction for both year 2024 and 2025.

Woke23
I think Bickley is worth the risk on such a low average. He's 23 years old, would be coming in to a league that is considerably weaker than years gone by, and he'd be able to compete at reserve level.
