He'll come in on a VERY low average due to the new 8% reduction rule, he's got Sean Wilson & Gary Havelock behind him - he's also lined up bikes, suits, a van, a mechanic etc. If he's not signed before the season I reckon someone will sign him for injury replacement at some point. Thr 8% reduction's only applicable for returning from injury (not including one inflicted to someonr else)

It has been announced that (for British riders only) it will be extended to include other reasons for absence in 2026.

By next season they will probably have a reduction depending on what type of injury riders have. Its all back of a fag packet stuff making up rules.š Edited Wednesday at 09:15 AM by Fromafar

Im pretty sure its low 4s 8% reduction for seasons 24 + 25 would give an average of 4.44. Not sure if the GB reduction is also taken as well, so might be 4.32? Most CL heat leaders could have been considering retirement 5 years ago but as there simply isn't the numbers progressing and staying in the UK they remain in the sport for longer and longer.
