I think that he'll get snapped up. He'll come in on a VERY low average due to the new 8% reduction rule, he's got Sean Wilson & Gary Havelock behind him - he's also lined up bikes, suits, a van, a mechanic etc.

If he's not signed before the season I reckon someone will sign him for injury replacement at some point.

Thr 8% reduction's only applicable for returning from injury (not including one inflicted to someonr else)

No that's the 2025 rule. It has been announced that (for British riders only) it will be extended to include other reasons for absence in 2026.

By next season they will probably have a reduction depending on what type of injury riders have. Its all back of a fag packet stuff making up rules.👎

Me and my brother actually discussed this not so long back. Im pretty sure its low 4s

8% reduction for seasons 24 + 25 would give an average of 4.44. Not sure if the GB reduction is also taken as well, so might be 4.32?

Anyone wondered what average james wright would come in on with the new reductions? 🤫

Plenty of riders retire and end up coming back

No offence to James or other returning riders but these names come up year on year simply because there isn't enough good riders coming through and those that do end up abroad. Most CL heat leaders could have been considering retirement 5 years ago but as there simply isn't the numbers progressing and staying in the UK they remain in the sport for longer and longer.

There's loads of riders that could return on the -8% per season missed rule. Even the Aussie ones on British passports 😂

Schlein 7.43 (8.08)

Wethers 4.40 (6.47)

Wouldn't be surprised if either of them pop up again somewhere
