Official statement now made…Etherington released by the club.

Poor kid should never have been signed. I do hope his confidence isn’t completely shattered.

Might explain why Jake Turner was having a practice on Saturday?

Previously held a 2.49 ave.

I thought he couldn't go below 3 as he came in on and assessed average not sure though. His last average was 4 but maybe worky will get special ruling 🪖

Crack the vault open, door will be very stiff I would imagine but I have a big can of  GT85 if required 🤣

I'd say they had his Kevlars made with the rest of the team as this looked to be a done thing once 4 meetings were complete.

I'm a bit suprised by some of the comments on Facebook about this being an excellent signing and Awsome let's just calm down a bit and give the lad a chance he has a under 3pt average for a reason after quite a bit of experiance now.

Just hope his liking for Northside can kick him on to the potencial that both Poole and Glasgow seen in him, he should by now be a +4 pt rider.

Well, that was an expected signing.

This is the season he really needs to push on. Hes had two seasons at championship level and has only increased his average slightly.

I liked him in the NDL in 2023 and thought he had a promising career, but seems to have stagnated a bit.

He did seem to take a liking northside and performed well last season in the U21 final.

One things for sure, he'll keep on pace with the other reserves and hopefully he can progress as the season goes on.

I can't understand ppl thinking this is a excellent signing, yes an improvement but I'd still be surprised by any points scored with scunthorpe and redcar coming up.

I’m pleased Max Perry has signed, he will be at least on the pace.

We made the play offs in 2024 with Sam McGurk averaging 1.64

Not expecting anything spectacular from Max, if he averages 2.5+, job done from him.

Just looked and he averaged 2.79 (3.15 with bonus) away from home last year. Home average was worse than away

No pressure on max he will be a lot more on the pace than Jamie was, so if your near and among the other riders points can be won, Jamie was half a la behind at Berwick

Jamie was clearly out of his depth, Max is not out of his depth and he should improve as the season progresses.
