Off topic perhaps but i havent seen john walsh at northside in a while anyone know how he is doing, always think of him as the voice of derwent park .

John is still providing some speedway articles for the local newspapers & web sites. He did an interview with Stoney a couple of weeks ago about his Skinflint rally adventure.

Looks like R/r for Cook is best option.

Best case would be he comes back if hes fit to do so. His health and family should be prioritt.

As I said previously, he's one of the best number 1s in the league, and he's not at number 1. No one available will score the scores he will home and away.

That’s why r/r is best option but unfortunately its short season now and it will be over if he can’t sort himself out.Missed big chunk of season at Berwick last year when he never came back.

He best stay away from speedway it’s clearly not for him at present and is upsetting the club and supporters also.

Any updates on cookie yet? All quiet from Workington Promotion so far

James Denham was asked in interview on Facebook by Roy about cookie, but it was I'd rather not comment at this moment, to me fair enough.

As said season in terms of meetings has not got long to go, think it's more difficult getting visas/ work permits these days, so I would expect RR or guests for rest of the season. After Saturday performance you can't drop max Perry

Perry was always slated for his weak gating at glasgow. I remember seeing a pic of bomber (i think) trying to coach him at the track. This season he seems to have improved massively

Don’t remember him being “slated” for weak gating.

What an absolutely heart warming thank you from Mr Workington Speedway !   If ever ANYONE gave a speech that was straight from their heart, this was IT.   The amount raised was mind blowing looking at the bucket when Stoney opened it. But a lot of that is down to the gentleman that collected it. I will never forget those glory days of Stoney riding at DP, and of course in no more prestigious a place than the Millenium Stadium in Cardiff.

I just wish I was subscribed to facebook so I could thank Stoney more directly for doing what he is doing.

And as others have said, it was great that you still remembered my name stoney, after all those years, when I was donating to the bucket.

Mr Workington speedway is welcome up here any time he wants, and good luck with the Rally marra !

All our love from your adopted town Stoney !

xx

Plans for An Evening with Stoney & Nick The Lip

We have been in talks since yesterday with WCSSC and because of your generosity on Saturday evening whilst promoting our trip around Europe in a car for under £500 which was a phenominal response, we are going to thank you and pay back.
We have agreed on the 27th June 2026 @thewaverleyhotel 1930hrs start time after young Jay Cartmells Memorial meeting at Northside earlier in the day 1500hrs, that we will have an evening with
'Stoney and Nick The Lip'.
Talking about the upcoming rally and any questions you want to throw at us about anything.
Further details will be anounced by the WCSSC very shortly.
Once again.
Thank you Workington.
You have done us proud. X
