A small sport in the grand scheme of things which seems to have progressive leaders, with ambition to grow... Not sure if you noticed. But they do have perspex to stand behind if you go again.... Do they still knock seven bells out of each other on the ice ? . Best bit about that sport imo
SteveLyric2
Any sport 'under cover' ie indoors, stands a far better chance of attracting bigger crowds. Presumably they will also benefit from the AO Arena's publicity regime?

Maybe a few other sports should take their lead eh 🫤

ouch
Biggest problem with the Elite league is the money they throw at the top ‘stars’. Stars who could walk down the street without anyone batting an eyelid and who have little impact on the attendance. Admission cost is around the £25 mark for adults which offers poor value to money and the associated cost like food, drink and merchandise is prohibitively expensive for most. It needs to move away from having a board of directors made up of participating clubs and go independent. With attendance averaging around 1500 over the last few years it was good to see it top 2000 last season though I’m sure come the first televised match next season from the massive AO arena the mantra will be “why all the empty seats in Manchester”? Only in ice hockey eh?
