We are all guessing as per usual, but not in November....February 7th, something like 5 weeks before the season normally starts.

It's painful, and as so many say, at least we have Speedway at Ipswich this season.....But do we??

But no point in giving an opinion on Louis on here, god forbid it's negative towards him, so keep my opinions to myself on Mr Louis.

As for the team, as i say, if we race, and not forgetting the pipe dream by Morris's statement there is a 6th team, we are all just throwing names out there, and hoping we are right.

For what it's worth, i agree we don't need Danny King this season, but most of us probably think he is in there somewhere, but as a Heat Leader, how much of a bad look is that for this so called new era, can't believe any new owner would have Mr King as a Heat Leader....Speedway suicide.

So let's say he is in somewhere, i would say those that are saying Tom Brennan is at Number 1.....For me No chance, plus Jenkins i believe will be in the side at 6.

I think the Number 1 is key to the whole season, again....If we come to tapes.

Lambert...Would be a statement i suppose, not sure if us loyal fans would really take to Lambert, but it's better than King being a heat leader. I wouldn't rule out Woofinden, if it is Mayfield Sports, then for me he has to come into the scenario.

Rew and Ellis wont be doing UK if you believe what we hear and what both have said, so that's them 2 gone, Lawson, i could see that, but for me the 1 rider who has hardly had a mention, but i think could be in is Klindt.

So like the rest of you i'm guessing, can't comment true feelings on Louis and the sale, and the team is pie in the sky stuff.

I'm still not convinced we come to tapes, and i'm not convinced everybody will be pleased we have Speedway at Foxhall, if it's a put together side like Birmingham last season, not quite sure the fans will except that, and the blame for that does turn up at one man's door....Oh mustn't say that...Damn

1 Woofinden/Lambert(Pipe Dream),Michelsen,Wozniak,Vaculik,Thomsen....Yes none of them probably can even ride here

2

3 Musielak

4 Klindt/Lawson

5 Brennan

6 Jenkins

7 Edwards

The wait goes on........

It's not as negative as it could be, i've said it's my opinion, and i standby it, i would say what's more negative on the whole situation is the way the loyal fans have been treated....But as iv'e siad..And i standby it, we must not knock Mr Louis....Whatever Next....And been going to Foxhall since 1980, so entitled to an opinion.

That was issued only a couple of days ago so thatโ€™s pretty conclusive that weโ€™ll be running. Not sure theyโ€™d be asking all staff to attend on Tuesday for the signing on session if there were still doubts about the club taking part.ย
ย

The wording of their โ€œupdateโ€ on the sale was interesting to me though. Does that sound like a sale is โ€œdoneโ€ and itโ€™s being announced next week? Or is it simply a further update on the potential sale?ย
ย

Either way, I expect that update on Monday. Every Tom Dick and Harry will know whatโ€™s going on after the staff meet up for the signing on session on Tuesday and it would all leak out from there as it usually does. So I expect the update, will be before that on Monday.

Just suggested the same myself. HAS to be Monday with the staff signing on at Ipswich sports club on the Tuesday.ย

Klindt has a liking for the NSS, AFA and Leicester as well as having proven pedigree around Foxhall.

That's a no brainer signing imo especially when only 3 Teams will reach the play-offs where everything will likely come down to Away Form and Bonus Points imo.

Maybe a controversial topic.....

What are fans views on Jason Doyle bailing out very early while Tom Brennan has stuck around especially if Ipswich run without a No.1 this season?

Of sorts?ย

I thought (or hoped) I was reading too much much in to the wording of the Official club post on the update coming next week! Didnโ€™t come across as any confirmation coming so perhaps itโ€™s not the update we were all hoping forโ€ฆ

I think the important thing to note is that with all the delays and speculation that the damage to the brand could be irreparable. It could be that you a small oil leak 3 years ago but now your engine has seized as you spoke about the repair but done naff all about it! ( I'm talking speedway in general and not just Ipswich).

Not controversial, but I think the logistics are slightly different with Doyle being in the GPs and if you can believe all that is written about the SPG, riders need to fund the riding themselves because the pay out is pretty meagre. When you consider the cost of travel, accommodation, mechanics etc. which the riders have to cover they are not in it for the money. Both riders need sponsors but Doyleโ€™s income needs are likely to be greater than Tom and therefore needs to get some good sponsors onboard asap to be able to ensure the income is in place to meet the outgoings and still leave some take home pay but is conscious of the fact that to get the sponsors to promote on meetings covered by TV he needs to be sure of where the money is coming from. Selling himself and the sport to sponsors cannot be easy and at a lower level, the same applies to Tom. In summary I donโ€™t blame him for getting his house in order as soon as possible and if that means being assured a team place elsewhere, so be it.
