He seems to be someone who has a long term plan (not heard that in speedway before!) and has definite ideas how the sport should be run. Can only be good for the sport in general if he can deliver. He admitted live on the telly box a few weeks back that he didn’t make himself too popular with the others by publicly backing his riders over the insurance stuff but he just laughed it off. Don’t think he’s the least bit bothered to be honest. He was getting on absolutely fine with Mark Lemon last night though. They were have a good laugh and a chat for a good half hour before the meeting. We had a chat with him ourselves a few weeks ago at the rained off meeting. He was just inside the gates with Andrew Chisholm as we walked in, puffing away on his fag (isn’t Foxhall a no smoking zone? 😂) and swigging his pint 😁 no airs and graces with him, he seems a genuine down to earth bloke and is very approachable.
