The UK scene does not currently have the right finances in place to compete or even offer like for like terms and the sport needs a measured adjustment in order that it has a future and one day can offer/attract the calibre of riders that compete solely in mainland Europe. All 100%, however, the same has been glaringly obvious for well over a decade yet "zilch" has been done about it... Literally millions and millions and millions have been spent using TV money, sponsorship, and crowd admission money over the past two decades or so... And all for what exactly??... Very good Mike, if only mind it was thus, mind you i'm doing some investment mentoring to my youngest son and his best friend for their A levels tomorrow. The drill for his friend is turn up tomorrow at 10 am in t shirt and shorts on we will do a couple of hours on asset allocation start the bbq at midday crack open a couple of beers and you will be home by 2pm. InTheDeepStuff Posted 6 hours ago Report Share Posted 6 hours ago So with the lack of a replacement for Jack Holder (can’t see who they could get in tbh, hopefully he’s back for start of next month) guest or R/R being the chosen poison, I think they need to look at the Rising Star position and bring in someone fresh to give an opportunity to until the end of the season. Some may say that’s tough on Killeen but he’s not cutting it away from Sheffield (had maybe 2 good points scoring meetings at home) and showed again last night at King’s Lynn where he gives the opposition yards from the start. Know the Rising Star list isn’t massive but it’s an opportunity for someone to shine and earn a team spot in the position I think that’s their only option as with Etheridge being in such a low average (nudge over 3.00) there’s not really anyone out there that’s not been tried elsewhere and failed miserably. 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
