Coops Tassle Boy Rushen 2026

Recommended Posts

Nothing wrong with hyping them up, as long as they don't get carried away and start believing the hype - as happened with Boughen. He tried to walk before he could run.

And to answer your question, it's not Poole. No way he will ride in the same team as William Cairns. Didn't they have a falling out?

I've heard Glasgow.

Fantastic prospect loves to race and pass, so hopefully that rules him out going to Poole !!  Seems a lot more grounded than the last great hope who no longer rides speedway. From what I read the family hasn't got lots of money like other people, all the success seems to be on pure talent, and this boy has it no doubt, I've been watching speedway since 1970, and you know when someone special comes along. Good look cooper where ever you ride, hopefully not Poole 🤪

Surprised tassels are allowed in speedway they could pull an arm into a wheel.

It wouldn’t surprise me. In my opinion he will be better than Cairns.

so where will tassel boy end up next season. Gonna be very much in demand. So whose gonna be the fortunate club to capture this talent?image.jpeg.5eb458e8656d938c7f1cfc8db672cd6a.jpeg

Poole. He agreed to go there for 2026 quite a while back. As under 16 I don't think he has actually signed yet.

Never seen him race, but if he's as good a racer as he's said to be then it's a shame for the sport that he's chosen a gate and go track

I was thinking earlier who was the originator of the tassle.

I remember Ray Bales wearing them, not sure if the whole Mildenhall team did?

Looks a good prospect.Lets see what happens when he is up against 3 seasoned campaigners in a race. Will Cairns is very stylish and has great bike control skills but admits he still has a lot too learn when he doesn’t gate.  Wish them both well though and that they have a good career.World Class at 16 there have been few.Think we are getting bit carried away with the young Brits though when you look at the big picture.

If it is Poole he will be on a winner as he is a fast gater and certainly not scared to mix it

But maybe what he really needs right now is to improve his gating, so that might just be the perfect choice for him.  🙃

Whenever I’ve seen him he seems a fast starter. Perhaps had clutch issues when you have seen him

I believe Neil Leeks of Mildenhall also had Tassels. I believe the whole team did at that time. Bob Coles, Robert Henry, Melvyn Taylor etc
