Thought he was okay to give it a go Sunday. Didn’t feel too bad during the meeting but pain was way worse few hours after. To the point he didn’t think he could ride Monday.

Hoping to be back fit for the this weekend with rest and physio.

What a miracle. I didn't think you'd be the one defending this sort of rubbish. It doesn't bother me either way - I don't support either club - but this sort of thing is commonplace in British speedway now. There's no need to defend it.

I’m not defending it, it’s genuinely what happened. Had his flights booked the lot to fly in on Monday and had arranged to be picked up from the airport to head to the track.

Enjoy that tonight. Could hear everything clearly, some decent racing, big home win and the aggregate point. Daughter got some signatures on her program she filled in herself for the first time. My son was looking for Buddy the bandit but couldn’t see him. Anyone know why he hasn’t been around this season?

BROKEN THE COLLAR BONE
Unfortunately, Peter was involved in a crash on Friday night when his club Berwick faced Edinburgh Monarchs.
Already in the first heat of the evening, Peter crashed and broke his collar bone.
After a few days of waiting in the British, Peter landed yesterday again in Denmark and has today been to check up on OUH.
They were going to operate on his collarbone within a week, but of course they are going to try to do it as soon as possible.
So we keep our fingers crossed that Peter can have his operation soon, we hope to see him back on the bike again soon.

Nightmare for the Bandits.

Not even a month into the season and you’ve lost Battye (a revelation, headed for the main body of the team) and your talisman.

You couldn’t write that sort of luck.

Somehow we are having a great and terrible start to the season. We are quite used to bad luck at Shielfield unfortunately. Fingers crossed we can get some good guests as I’m not sure who could be a temporary replacement for either. But if there’s someone available the Berwick management will find them if last year is anything to go by.
