The last time i went to Cardiff I paid £18 (early bird price). And the place was more than half empty which lead to no more GPs there. I have to say though that I went to the Friday meeting at BV last year and as we left I did say that the meeting we'd just seen was a real candidate for the best GP ever. Perhaps real fans want to see real racing eh? [edit] P.S. I've just bought two day tickets for this year. ... but at what price? Any price? P.S. I got my 2 dayer too, standing, would never pay that price to sit 👍

The racing certainly didn't often stand up to scrutiny of being the reason for going... I think just over £60 a night in the South Stand is VFM considering I have just laid out nearly £30 for the PCMT...

That same ticket would cost £69 at the British SGP… but he wouldn’t get a seat. He wouldn’t even be able to see FFS. Wouldn't it make sense to get him a ticket in the East stand? Cheaper, he gets a seat, and he'd be able to see better.

That’s my point really, it’s not so much the price, it’s what am I getting for that price ? Cardiff was a great day out as you say and imo should of moved to a new venue a few years before its demise, the GP for me should be something different, an experience, I’ve booked Poland again this year and if I’m honest I get more of a buzz from the experience of the league matches before and after the GP but even on GP day the towns are buzzing, belle vue is literally just a meeting and that’s it and as much as the racing is great I can get that experience on a league match there for a third of the price, I hope it’s a success again and hopefully a sell out but it’s just not for me I want something different

Neila
Regarding price just had info off a friend who is going to the lodz GP and ticket price is £106 for 2 meetings GP and GP 2 so £125 for 2 GPs is similar price

I think they miss a great opportunity to use the Manchester city centre as a "GP Hub"... Meet the riders etc.. Well over a hundred thousand people will be going through there on the Friday and Saturday... What an opportunity to not only advertise a "Flagship" event, to create some "Big Event" feel for Speedway, but also, off the back of it, advertise the Aces and UK Speedway in general... And all to an audience who, in the main, won't have a clue who you are, or what you do... A "gift horse" if ever there was one for the Aces.. As for the pricing? I will be watching world class action, with most riders there not riding over here... I woukd rather pay over £60 for that, than around £30 for some contrived, Mickey Mouse, domestic offerings.. ond
My gripe is charging £5 per ticket for booking fee….. roughly £40,000😳. im glad sales have gone well and hope it continues.

It'd certainly be interesting to know exactly what that booking fee was for as I booked my PCMT ticket immediately afterwards, using the exact same system and there was no booking fee at all 🤔

Personally I don't agree with this, but virtually all ticket sales come with a tranaction fee of some kind now.

My recollection is that the ticket price said something like 'inclusive of fees' but I didn't take much notice I confess. Personally, I think all ticket prices should be inclusive of any fees charged so it is clear from the start, but that is s general ticket buying issue not just a BV speedway issue

Not great if fans incorrectly think it’s the NSS pulling a fast one.
