Popular Post Blue Groove
Much is made of how good the NSS track is but in reality it's a narrow one-line track in the latter stages of these meetings, whoever gets to the dirt line beside the fence first coming out of the second bend first lap is pretty much guaranteed the win as long as they don't make a mistake. 1

He is superb. would he of won those titles in an era containing prime Rickardsson, Crump, Pedersen? I'm not sure. Tracks back then were nowhere near as good as they are now preparation wise. I would say that he's a rider of similar ability to those riders, against a group of riders who aren't.

Because it rained on a slick surface before that was great racing inside and out.

He's a legend but he does give his competition enough chances but they never take full advantage. Kurtz in the Sprint Race, None of his real competition winning the GP's when Zmarzlik's gating has been off. Wouldn't have gotten away with it back in the day imo as Rickardsson, Crump, Pedersen would've taken full advantage of every opportunity. Exactly , the likes of Pedersen would never give him the room he gets with the current crop and life would be much more difficult for him. Take nothing away from him though, hes a great talent and should make the most of him.

Agreed. Kurtz is a bit of a one trick pony so needed to take advantage of two home GPs. I doubt he will have that advantage tomorrow on a wet track.

Did you not see Leon Madsen cut back going into turn 3 and pass the whole field?

ShanoXtra
Solid Grand Prix, well done all involved including track staff and riders. Great event and leaving people with little to complain about (apart from the camera work) but it was a good watch 👏🏻 I hope tomorrow is similar! Something tells me it would have been epic if Bewley was there! Edited 2 hours ago by ShanoXtra .

Think it improves his chances tomorrow, Best Gater in the field imo but his early meeting errors cost him dearly tonight when it came to gate picks. Very lucky Zmarzlik threw the meeting away by picking Gate 4 where he was never going to make it or have much if any room when everyone was going straight to the fence. Picking Gate 4 when he hadn't made a Gate all night basically left him with two realistic choices, Ride the slick inside around bends 1 & 2 after quick cut back or ride the fence and end up laying the bike down to avoid running into the back of another rider. chun
Fricke was pretty ruthless in that first corner. Seen that from him before. He lifted shortly after BZ binned it. Had he done that before it might have made the decision more contentious

The other 3 riders race there during our season zmarlik doesn’t think it showed in the gate picks
