BrizHeathen
With the trickle of Aussie riders due to start around this time, I just wonder how they are going to get here with the situation in the Middle East. Most would travel via Dubai, Qatar or Abu Dhabi, and I suspect those routes are out of the question at the moment. I hope the situation eases and travel gets back to some normality asap. There’s direct flight from Perth which takes 17 hours. Or via Asia stop offs such as Singapore, Kuala Lumpur or Hong Kong all served by Qantas. PhilTheAce Posted yesterday at 08:19 AM Report Share Posted yesterday at 08:19 AM most are over here now, if not all, As valve says though, there is other ways such as via asia so it wont be a problem
mikebv Posted yesterday at 08:20 AM Report Share Posted yesterday at 08:20 AM (edited) They could use a boat to get to the UK... Just like their great, great, great grandfathers used to get over there years ago... Hopefully they won't be chained up the same way, though. Edit: On the plus side, it did qualify their great, great, great grandchildren to ride NDL.. arnieg Posted yesterday at 09:11 AM Report Share Posted yesterday at 09:11 AM Via Tokyo (flights go over Alaska, Canada, North Pole and North Atlantic.)
Neila Posted yesterday at 01:51 PM Report Share Posted yesterday at 01:51 PM Lots of ways to get to the UK from Australia, either east or west but may not be as cheap as usual routes via Dubai etc
IanBrannan
Most are back over here already, some only just prior to it kicking off. But others are coming back via the USA which is a fair bit longer but they'll get here. Can also go via Singapore or Malaysia too into a European hub like Amsterdam and on from there. They wouldn't need a Passport and they would be put into an Hotel free gratis. What's not to like? 🙄🤬
