No media day this year and now they are ditching the British speedway podcast as well as a cost cutting measure. Apparently due to no tv deal. This is a great shame as it was a very good professional podcast
It seems utter madness to not have either to promote our sport. We now have Northampton which is a fantastic boost for the sport but that’s a bigger secret than the Masons. What on earth do those supposedly running the premiership thinking of. We should be looking up to the levels of Poole and Glasgow rather than dumbing down to the levels of Scunthorpe

two of the best things to emerge in the last ten years are BSN and Team GB   Which shows what can be achieved with competent forward thinking management.

That speaks volumes of how well the BSPL promoted it !!!
go on the website homepage and under the more option it will appear.

I do think it’s me not paying attention, I rarely go on the BSPL website, I am a massive podcast listener because I’m always on the road and they pass the time quickly but strangely I very rarely listen to speedway podcasts and that’s made all the more strange by the fact that I was on one but I just don’t find them interesting

Ahhh yes I’ve heard of that, never listened to it though

It remains available and you can listen to all 168 episodes here..

It was promoted in every club match programme, on Brtitsh Speedway social media channels every single week including video clips, British Speedway website including embedded player which is still there, 5 min cut down edit played in all Premiership stadiums during every meeting for the last 2 years, and also interviews were shared with a number of BBC Local Radio stations too. So pretty impressive that over 5 years you’ve managed to avoid it 😂🤷‍♂️

Such a shame and shortsighted of whoever decided to axe it.

Like I said I don’t use the British speedway website, I’ve probably heard the bits played in the stadium in the background but can’t say I’ve actually listened to what’s being said and didn’t realise it was part of a podcast, the only radio station I listen to is planet rock and more the point is as much as I love the sport I rarely listen to podcasts about it, I think I’ve listened to 2 that I can remember, 1 was rob godfrey on 360 podcast which was the say nothing I thought it would be and the other was Bruce penhall with your good self which may of been on the said mentioned podcast, I listen to podcast most days but for whatever reason just not speedway ones, like I said initially I hadn’t heard of it was probably because the poster had called it  British speedway podcast and not no brakes no fear which I had heard of but not listened to, anyway the fact that it’s not for me is irrelevant, it serves a purpose in the sport and getting rid of it is a mistake but not surprising

Ah right yeah, it did get known as “The podcast”, but yeah No Brakes No Fear is the actual name. Glad you enjoyed Bruce anyway, I’m hoping to do more stuff like that during the season this time rather than in the winter as has been the case.

It’s great there are other podcasts around now which weren’t there 5 or 6 years ago. Personally I think we need more club specific podcasts / YouTube channels, either official club backed or just fan based ones. And for those podcasts to collaborate with each other and not see it as a competition.   People will watch and listen to more than 1 thing, and what’s clear is if you watch or listen to 1 speedway show you’re probably going to listen to more, the stats prove that.
