Col
Kurtz & Blödorn are set to return but with Kurtz, Bewley, Cook, Blödorn, Brennan & Musielak all likely to be in action on the continent over the weekend and a fair compliment of Championship fixtures at the weekend we have to hope all come through unscathed. Assuming they do I would think Belle Vue will win quite comfortably (52-38) while Hellström Bängs showed a liking for the NSS at the SoN (as Sweden's last man riding) but it's been a few years (2021?). Nicholls & Lawson rarely score well at NSS, Musielak had improved on his last visit with Sheffield but don't remember him doing much for Brummies last season. Imagine it will be down to Brennan for Ipswich to take a point off the World #2 & #3. A little rain is forecast at the moment but should be fine. Aries
Expect we’ll get dry humped here 🙈 Not going to be a good track for us this one and neither will Sheffield. Poor old Scotty will be like a sitting duck and I’d be surprised is he scores a single point.

Scotty never gives up on chasing the pack and his knowledge in the pits will give added value to those with less experience. I hope you are wrong for this stalwart of British Speedway who never knows when he is beaten. That aside does it really matter who comes out on top as long as the sport survives and punters enjoy the evenings racing.

He’s publicly admitted on TNT that if the British final had been held anywhere other than the NSS, he’d have given it another bash to add to his seven titles but concedes that he just doesn’t have the pace anymore to compete there. I hope I’m wrong too obviously. He’ll give it his best no doubt about it but expectations should be low.

And yes of course it does, it’s competitive sport and fans of both clubs will want their team to win, naturally.

If we are honest... It's not really is it?... More like "Sports Entertainment"... Which can still be a decent night out.. As for Scott? A fantastic rider and career, and also very good in front of a camera.. Hope he enjoys, safely, what (maybe} his last season.. He owes the sport nothing...

It's not a bona fide sporting contest, because, simply, clearly, it cannot be using the operating model.. However, collude with the promoters that it has some relevance and prestige, and enjoy... As I say, it can still be a cracking night out, watching the racing... Edited Friday at 10:14 PM by mikebv

No one expected Leicester to win at Owlerton on Thursday. Did you think it predetermined that Bewley would chase Douglas for 3.7 laps in heat 15 on Easter Monday before passing him. Bewley certainly looked overjoyed, Douglas looked gutted. Don't think that was our on.

I’m with you there but unfortunately this goes against the majority of the cartel and those on here. I hated Cradley back in the day but marvelled at the racing antics of Jan O etc. Yes we may have lost but the speedway was exquisite. Bigger picture thinking by looking to make the sport as a whole more appealing doesn’t go down well with the old school currently strangling our wonderful sport. We are now in the era where winning is all and if that means tedious gate’n’go speedway then so be it. The problem there is if you are a newbie who is not yet invested in the team then the lack of thrills and entertainment means you ain’t coming back.

If they could harness the racing into a "proper team sport" operating model, (like other countries do), then that would truly be a game changer for many who no longer regularly attend, and may also then generate some sponsorship interest from "outside" the sport.. Tom Brennan will be up against the Aces this Monday and has so far this season ridden for fhe Aces as many times as he has for hs own team... That is the kind of thing that makes it more "sports entertainment"....

Are these the same people who said lynn would spank us over 2 legs? Jeez! Unfortunately most supporters know Jack all. As lambo said before on 360 they are keyboard warriors. 2 comfortable wins over lynn and what I like about it is we have gone about our business quietly and Paul Hurry has said virtually nothing so have some faith in the team and yes if I was a bookie I'd back the home team but until then give it a rest. Just because a few people say one thing doesn't mean everyone else agrees - there's always a bell curve of views and opinions on most results. If you choose to be annoyed at some of those, so be it. I think your style of reply is no better than people you claim are "keyboard warriors" - which is a remarkably tired old phrase. In the early days of the internet, those of us who dared to question the BSPA were tarred with all sorts of epithets. What a shame they didn't make use of all the ideas and energy on offer. I don't expect the Witches to win on Monday, so anything over 40 will be good score as far as I'm concerned. Anything from 45 upwards would be a pleasant bonus. It won't change my life any more than watching my life-long team win cups and leagues has done over the last 50+ seasons.
TTT
Think we're going to struggle big time in this one, I think Scotty Nicholls will struggle to score a point against any member of Belle Vue's 1-5, Always struggled around the NSS apart from one meeting and that was a good few years ago as well. Lawson's not a fan either so I think the Aces could put up 60 here.
