What is up with Scott? No points for Ippo on Monday and none from two rides tonight.

And then his heat 13 ride was a true thing of beauty

Neither   Awful track. Plumes of dust on parade and a blue groove by heat 4. It’s April not August with 90 degree temperatures. Some good racing nonetheless but on a properly prepared track it could be so much better.

Says an Ipswich fan 😆

Quality racing right up until Heat 15 tonight, when Luke Killeen belted around Danny King. Terrific ride by Nicholls in Heat 13. He'd do that for you too if you gave him a decent track to ride on!

It isnt the track, Nicholls is usually terrific at Foxhall, he did not trouble the scorers at Belle Vue, are you saying Belle Vue is not a good track!!

As much as I agree it was very good racing, you can't just gloss over the fact the levels of dust were totally unacceptable. I love Oxford and it's not going to stop me going, but any new fans attending that and getting literally covered from head to toe in dirt, aren't going to be coming back.

I was standing on the fourth bend and knew it was going to be a long night when the dust was being kicked up in the warm up before the first heat had even started. By about heat 10, I literally couldn't see through the levels of dust to know what was happening on the first and second bends, and spent most of the races looking away as it was bordering on painful to the eyes.

It's a well known fact that Scott hates the Belle Vue track and never scores well there.

I don't think that means Belle Vue isn't a good track. It's probably an even better known fact that it's one - if not the - best in the country.

Not sure it was an awful track as the racing was good but the dust levels were insane. I came down from Leicester to watch, and I won't be going back in a hurry after that. can't be good for your health breathing that in. My eyes are still stinging today.

I agree the racing was great, but the dust was awful, just like last week. It’s not a pleasant experience for spectators; firstly, there’s nowhere to park, and then get covered in dust. This isn’t good enough, and something needs to change, or people will just drift away and not return.

Clouds of dust and a blue groove just aren't acceptable, any track serving that up (however good the racing) needs to do better I'm afraid.

That applies to Ipswich also

Sounds shocking, I saw last weeks match and accepted it was down to the forecast but no excuse this week, I’m no track curator but next year will be my 40th of watching speedway and know on dry windy days you have to be on the track at the crack of dawn getting water into it and carrying that throughout the day, it’s not acceptable to have conditions like that every week, will the ref be mentioning it in his report? Will Phil Morris act on it?

Oxford that good or Plymouth that bad?

Bit of both but the track was shocking. My lad was covered in dust after heat 1 and wasn't quiet about it 🤣

Plymouth barely made a gate all night and even if they made the jump the Oxford boys were generally away off bend 2.

I think Oxford will be very tough to beat at home with that top 5, they were very, very good and the current form of Wood at reserve is a massive bonus, thought he was very good value and rode far better than his average.

For Plymouth, King was solid enough, Nicholls went from terrible to brilliant after the interval, clearly having mechanical challenges but was far better in 13 and 15.

Klima did quite well on his first visit, struggled in heat 2 but then showed some decent speed, needed to get off the white line though.

The Slovenian lad looked alright in his first ride, gated but got a bit beaten up and ended up falling, after that was nowhere.

Barker was poor bar one ride, Thompson deserved a little more for his efforts and sadly Spencer was way way off it and must be replaced.

On last nights showing, I think Glasgow tomorrow could be a bit of a hammering, hope I'm wrong.

Not true, review his scores, both from team and individual meetings. He has started poorly though and is clearly not in tune with his bike yet, second meeting he's missed the two minutes whilst working on it. Two more engines this week and he needs to get them working, not just for speed but for gating. It happens, he'll get over it.

I agree with others though, poor spectacle due to the very slick and dusty track.

Why would he? He has nothing to do with the Championship

I moved after the first race to around the start line but moved back to the beginning of bend 3 after about 5 heats and you missed the dust there so it was a good watch.

People will stop going if this carries on as it’s not acceptable.
