Things will get better, I truly believe that. With regard the attendance, as I have said before no club has the right to call another one out as we are all relatively poor. Despite the banter I honestly do not want to see Ipswich again drop out of our league due to poor support. Being the sole club with the support to stay “up top” and seeing clubs come and go is not good at all and the uncertainty of who we will be up against year on year is a major concern. IainB
05.1.8 Track Preparation Equipment As detailed on the Homologation Certificate, must be available in working order. Vehicles must be fitted with rotating flashing hazard warning lights. The minimum equipment required is as follows: • 2 Tractors • 1 Grader • 1 Harrow or Wheel • 1 Blade • 1 Water Bowser Have they fixed the flashing light on the tractor yet 🚜 🚨 1
RoundTheBoards
We can't read, and we can't write, but that don't really matter. Because we are from Ipswich, and there's no blade on our tractor.

Was it raining all day in Belle Vue before the meeting?! You will get your full quota of matches on BSN though, don’t know what you are complaining about. No point in turning up if there is a cloud in the sky nowadays .
Phannan
They obviously knew the world number 2 wasn’t going to put a shift in so they didn’t want the fans to feel they’ve been robbed in these hard times

Is sarcasm the lowest form of wit or is that the fool who responds Never mind I’m sure that one day Belle Vue may get close to the crowd levels at Ipswich You have the best track in the league and ours is arguably the worst yet you aren’t well supported…. No point in turning up if there is a cloud in the sky nowadays . Agree and the sad state of affairs is that when the weather is slightly better in June, July and August you have so few meetings because other meetings elsewhere impact on rider availability. Read this week’s Speedway Star and the comments regarding the lack of meetings at a track like Scunthorpe. It says it all about how far the sport has sadly declined in this country and unless you get real change it will continue to spiral downwards. Fans become disillusioned and riders seek income elsewhere. Oh well nothing the run of the mill fan can do but hope.

State of this sport in this country, why did I f*cking sub to BSN again? it’s the same every week, either too dry and dusty or it’s too wet and we can’t race. It didn't need a blade, the track was fine. However we know about Aussies and wet tracks 😉 The track is smooth and consistent, the tail ways the dog again - a ref on the 80s-90s wouldn't have called that off. Those that turned up to watch will think again the next time there's a shower on the forecast and who can blame them.

But it was just bad luck with that last shower, literally bubbled up from nowhere! Standing in my usual spot I thought they would do the same. I take it there was no blade out the back of the pits? They interviewed Simon Humphrey-Kennett on BSN and he said that, unlike a clay surface which is hard, the heavy shower had got into the track surface and it was too slippery. All the riders were in agreement to abandon the meeting.
SPEEDY69
A blade would have made no difference, some riders clearly didn't want it on. There was barely enough shale on there to be bladed anyway!

Walking on it and finding it slippery is completely different to riding a bike on it. One or two races and it'd have been dry.
