Must be so exciting for their customers.. Silly season started early I see. Both Bayern’s and Poole’s supporters love them winning. That’s why they both attract relatively big crowds.

As he lives in Poole or thereabouts i would have thought someone would give him a lift.

Must be so exciting for their customers.. Poole will get as much national publicity, or financial prize, for winning tier two, as whichever team wins the top tier... The difference being they will have laid out a lot less.. Before the start of this season, their promoters did say crowds had dropped last year, so maybe there could be a bit of "winning fatigue" setting in and fans will pick and choose their meetings depending on the opposition... However. They did also say though that they were going to ramp up their local promotion, and marketing, plus target sponsor recruitment as they felt lots of opportunities existed... Poole fans have shown a winning team keeps them attending, with a losing team, impacting crowds.. No point in spending six figures more, and "maybe" being successful, when you can spend six figures less and, whilst never guaranteeing success, give yourself really good odds...

Poole were never a losing team in the top decision. Far from it. A club that dictates to the sport it competes in , the terms and conditions, the when and where they will or won’t operate in , makes a mockery of it all in my opinion. Business ambition is obviously number 1. Sporting ambition doesn’t come into it. Like a promoted team in football refusing to be promoted because they’ll win more matches in the lower division so more fans will attend. Suppose I’m naive to want meaningful relevant competition. As it was the first lap, there could be a certain amount of leniency in the rules for this type of incident where no one is really at fault. Yes it is a business decision to ride in the lower tier where the club gets as much revenue as the top tier but the costs are less, this is partly why the top division only has 6 teams, it must be very difficult to afford top riders especially when you dont get big crowds every week.In football you have to invest massively if you intend to stay in the top division once promoted or you get relegated.
