Clubs are always telling us that one of the main reasons for early call offs is flying riders in. Now if all clubs had their own private jets……….I’ll get my coat😔

mikebv
3 hours ago, Bagpuss said: This is where we are at nowadays in the UK unfortunately. Riders just aren't interested in a wet track here when they can earn many multiples in Poland the next weekend. There is a 70-80% chance of showers all afternoon tomorrow and while they may miss Lynn clubs would rather not risk what we had at the Foxhole last Thursday I guess. The days of boilersuits and sawdust are long, long gone. Plus. Getting injured in the UK and then having to pay back some, if not all, of your very, very considerable signing on fee to your Polish team, would certainly persuade me to not take any undue risks outside of Poland... szkocjasid
While the forecast isn't awful, it's wet enough that a postponement is understandable. Surprised they're getting so much grief after what happened at Ipswich last week.
Youhave2minutes
I’m sick and fed up with that damn pit gate always being nothing but trouble and meetings postponed because of it.

But with the chronic rider shortage we seem to be pushing our up and coming riders to extreme limits. That's exactly my point previously, one or two riders missing on either side then it becomes a farce. Despite our comments on here I'm sure the promoters don't wear earmuffs and blinkers!
Bagpuss
Cooper 'rested' according to the Poole v Oxford thread, I'd suggest if they'd not already won the tie at Cowley (and he wasn't riding Prague on Friday) then he'd be riding. Today has been very different to the forecast in Norfolk, which highlights the danger of postponing the day before.
