When is a meeting ever over by 8.30 if it starts at 7.45? 🙈

It’s not that bad. In the 80s I’ve watched meetings in slush.

They would have rode the remaining few heats in the rain, what's wrong with that as long as it is safe to do so, it's been done many times over the years.

Totally agree 15 heats in 15 minutes pushed through like they do at the GP’S   No excuse, I’m sorry.

Sufficiently enough to have caused the meeting to be abandoned had it gone ahead?

They can send men to the moon but can’t tell you what the weather is going to be 48 hours ahead. Worse than ever this year. Weather forecasters must be at the bottom of the least trusted professions-making estate agents and journalists look like saints.

I blame El Nino (and Poole, of course) 😁

At least the trophy cabinet will float as its never had anything in it.

Last week the trophy room got broken into, I believe...

The police quickly caught the bloke who did it though...

He was spotted walking through the town with a Green and Yellow carpet on his shoulders as he said that was the only thing he could find worth nicking...

Buddum Tish....

They can also find a covid vaccine in 2 weeks . Now that was progress

I wouldn't want to pay twenty five quid for a rushed through meeting which doesnt even last an hour, and probably only goes to heat 10.

Bottom line is that on this particular occasion Lynn have got it right.

It may not have needed to be rushed through or only get to heat 10, if the rain did not start until 8.30, the rain at that point may have only been enough to damp the dust down, in my experience the Kings Lynn track has always been able to take a bit of water.

My experience is the opposite due to the high clay content of the shale.

The bottom line is that it wouldn't have been a satisfactory evening and the VFM would likely have been poor whichever way you slice it, and not many would have been there due to the forecast. Postponements are frustrating but last night was the right call.
