People will realise next year that we are blessed this year to actually have the best riders of this generation all in the Grand Prix (apart from Nazar) but minus the Russians. Anybody can turn up and win this year, I would have happily seen this line up (official line up) go again next season. Been a very good GP series this year despite all of the injuries, If Bewley, Holder and Lindgren were fully fit and competing in every round then the World Title race would've been more than a three horse race. Best GP season for a good while imo and as a Brit it's just what was needed considering how bad our domestic League is this year.

You ain’t getting up to make a cup of tea while he’s out on track! I'm all for hard riding,it's his reckless and out of control riding from him I don't like. There's riders like Zmarzlik,Doyle,Lindgren who ride hard but 95% of the time they are in control of what they are doing. 5 hours ago, Odds On said: 100% agree, just imagine if there were sixteen riders in the series just like him! If there were 16 riders like Woryna in the GP's,you would probably only end up with half of them at the end of the series.

Not when he is out of control and takes someone out,no.It could have been a lot worse for Kubera yesterday through Woryna's reckless actions. It's like he is overriding as he isn't quite as good as the top boys, but wants to be.
Daniel Smith
Not seen a single GP for 2 years. Is this Kubera the 'Real Deal'? Willing to put his & others lives at risk just to win? Are we talking peak Nicki Pedersen mentality? Do you think he's willing to take his own countryman & national hero Zmarzlik for a safety barrier inspection? If it's a yes to all those, I may sign up & have a new hero. Speedway globally desperately needs characters rather than the soft touch of recent years. I'm all for 'risk & reward' over safe & bland every day of the week.

The sport is dangerous enough without unnecessary reckless actions being taken ,I was glad to see the back of NP and his ilk ,I genuinely cannot comprehend anyone wanting to watch a rider deliberately fence another ,the consequences of these actions often lead to significant and often career ending injury .I have no issue with robust riding or if a mistake is made but to substitute skill and ability with fear that you don't care for your's or fellow riders safety has no place in this sport .

I personally much prefer the measured response from those in commentary than the over exaggerated hyperbole that is typical of this forum sadly. Woryna was rightly excluded, he was the cause of the stoppage. But he didn’t “fence” anybody or “try to kill them” 🙄

Then I disagree with you on him deliberately trying to fence somebody. Over exuberance maybe at times, sure, but not deliberately dirty. I said myself earlier on in this thread that he was hard on a couple of riders on the first bend, taking Kurtz out to the fence and stopping his run being one of them. I stopped short of calling it naughty because he didn’t deliberately try to take Kurtz off, just hard riding. He’s clearly a determined racer who if he sees a gap, is going to pin the throttle and go for it. He’s lit up this years GP series for me and is THE rider I want to watch at the moment above all the others. I bet I’m far from alone in that either. IF he ends up back in British Speedway next year, he’ll add numbers to the gate of every track he visits, guaranteed.
Odds On
some way over the top comments regarding Woryna, "deliberately fencing a fellow rider"..."going to kill somebody". The sport is desperate for characters and excitement, there's more comments on Woryna than the guy who actually won it, maybe just maybe people need to start looking outside of the current box of boring follow the leader speedway. paulnolan
I love to watch Woryna. With Dan Bewley out of the GPs, he's the main reason to watch. Yes, he's unorthodox at times but if other riders really thought he dangerous they wouldn't be quiet about it!
Daniel Smith
It takes all types to make every sport exciting. In Speedway you need the gating tart, the curb crawler, the chaser & the kamikaze. The mixture of mentality is what gives the sport (any sport) the excitement. Without the Pedersen types, the sport is & has been a bland sport for a while. The fact many are talking about Woryna, means he's doing something right, for his profile & the sport overall.
