YeOldPitGate Posted 1 hour ago Report Share Posted 1 hour ago I used to follow speedway from 1984 -1993 (ish) the sport was struggling then but had a shot in the arm when Sky came on board and I got interested again watching it on Sky Sports but was never tempted back to trackside. I'm not sure how many are left rattling around this forum now maybe 20-40 of us I can't remember when I joined possibly couple of years ago but has it always been a very small number of posters or were there hundreds here in the past ? Andrew Posted 29 minutes ago Report Share Posted 29 minutes ago From 2001 to the mid 2010's it was very well used,most teams had fans posting.It started to fall off when the likes of Reading,Eastbourne and Coventry especially closed along with all the other tracks lost to the sport. There was quite a few Sheffield fans (Forum owner Phil included ! ) who would post daily,now hardly anyone bothers as the Tigers- Leicester meeting thread proved! During GPs, World Cup, British Finals etc, 3-4000 could be online. Even today, there’s been around 740 online, which is not bad considering the current state of British Speedway.
