Combination of having a poor team this year and losing the two popular heatleaders, and the new streaming service will tempt some to save a tenna and watch at home instead.Ā And the nonsense of the pre season will not have helped.. I truly have never seen any business or entity commit so much Harikiri on itself as Speedway in the UK has done, particularly over the past 20 years as the digital age has boomed.. Year after year they have made poor decisions which have just compounded the poor decisions from the previous years... Normally a business would fix its issues, even more so when they are so glaring and obvious, and their customers either tell them publicly, or tell them by no longer attending, but still closely following the sport.. I truly would love to know what the promoters vision for the sport is, and where they aspire to take it... As all it currently looks like is this... "Make it to the end of this season, do exactly the same thing next, then rinse and repeat ad infinitum"...
marko
And what happened to Speedway Futures?Ā
The Cheese
I'm sure Northampton would love to find a top heat leader somewhere but even someone who can consistently chip in with 5 or 6 instead of Batchelor would turn some of these near misses into wins.

That "Wow" announcement that Rob Godfrey mentioned will be made public... Probably waiting for Wimbledon, the World Cup, and the Tour De France to finish so it doesn't impact the amount of publicity it will attract... Pinny
Social media is where its at now for advertising online.Ā Ā I can't remember the last time I bothered to go to a clubs website. I watch every ManU game on TV and haven't been on the website since before I left the UK. Same as with speedway, you see all results on social media. Club websites have been rubbish on the whole since the internet has been around but having a quick glance now, its a wonder they even bother with them. Not just info wise but the design and lay out is just horrendous. Just don't bother.Ā
Pinny
As a positive, its great to see the likes of Zagar, Harris and Iversen still scoring points.Ā Ā I remember seeing them riding for Trelawny and Newport at Trelawny in 2003 , crazy to think 23 years on they would still be putting in respectable scores in the British top division.Ā

Just saying š So did 1200 Belle Vue fans. Crowds are never as big for televised league meetings. Workington needed 1500 fans like you when they closed in 2018 but unfortunately not all fans are diehards like us and will find cheaper ways to enjoy the sport.Ā

But unfortunately until the last few trophy winning meetings crowds weren't anywhere near break even .Ā Hopefully now we are at the GT tyres Northside arena all money spent ( food, drink, car park etc ) goes to keeping the speedway aliveĀ
