Sad news about Kyle taking a break from the Sport.

Still advantage to the Lions but the pressure on Kemp is massive now.

They can use a guest replacement if they choose to as well can't they?

Any lingering doubts as to whether the Witches could pull off a miracle must surely now be over

The withdrawal of the underperforming, average sliding second string (was soon to be reserve) means

A) An in form horses for courses guest

or

B ) RR where a heat leader can take 1 and rampant, improving reserve (soon to be second string) 2 of his rides

Congratulations Leicester

Shouldn't be allowed but they may get one tbh.

They knew about Howarth not enjoying his speedway well in advance so they've had enough time to drop him and sign a replacement imo.

Can someone clarify the rules for me. I was always under the impression that rider replacement could not be used where a rider was withholding his services which is in effect what Kyle is doing. Doesn't he have to be replaced by a 3 point  average rider?

Not sure, but I thought you could have a replacement, up to the missing rider's average, but he would get a 28 day suspension.

Assuming Kyle has no intention in the next 28 days, this would have little effect.

Was always going to be the old head in the sand approach "it's all coming together , nothing to see here" plus the fact trying to find a new rider these days is like hoping you will trip over a gold bar as you step out of your front door.

010.5 FACILITIES

K) retiring during the current season a facility will be granted for a period of 28 days. After which the team must re-apply for a further facility to the SCB Co-Ordinator outlining the steps they have taken to find a replacement. An extension may be granted In these circumstances a rider cannot return to ride for any club within 28 days, effective from the date of notification to the SCB.
