topaz325
Workington go into their final meeting of the season against the Redcar Bears needing a win to lift themselves off the foot of the table. This will not be an easy match as Redcar go so well at the GT Tyres Arena and usually win, the Bears will require a guest for Charles Wright (away in Poland). Its not known at the moment whether Jonas and Max will be fit having taken knocks recently at Plymouth.   Hopefully the weather will be ok on Saturday. Woke23
Not surprised with the rain off. Was through Workington today between 18:45 and 20:15 and it chucked it down throughout. Forecast looks awful too.  Oh well, half of me is gutted, the other half is happy because in my own little mind, the season still has a little left for us! This was the press release: This Saturday’s home meeting (29th August) against Redcar has been postponed due to a poor weather forecast. A new date will be confirmed as soon as possible. Well it won't be the 5th as Redcar away at Berwick or the 12th as it's the riders championship, my guess is one of the Sundays following these meetings, but that depends on which riders have polish commitments

How would they cope with rain-offs if it was 2H & 2A?
Neila
Maybe another reason for a delay in the restaging, is that this weekend and next weekend the main road into Workington A66 is closed all weekend, even been on radio 2 traffic, then the road over the river towards the roundabout where you turn off for the speedway is going to be closed, it's a fookin nightmare for locals, never mind any traveling fans riders and officials etc
