Well have to say I'm not so sure, it's the final bit of commitment that makes all the difference, I feel he is holding back like he feels he really can't afford the risk of an injury at this time. Once you have that thought in your mind it's hard to shake, it's all about responsibilities imo. To compound matters Zac doesn't seem on fire either judging from his last few meetings. The upcoming semi/final(s) could be far tougher than expected. Time for all the Pirates to step up.

I don't think Lawson has an issue but he is clearly not in top form but in the play offs he always performs. As for Zach, he never performs well at some away tracks and Leicester is one of those. Just keeping his average down as usual, the play offs don't count towards the averages, so he may up his game a bit, unfortunately 🤣

STEVEHOLS54 Posted yesterday at 03:25 PM Report Share Posted yesterday at 03:25 PM Can we take from Oxford Managers comments that perhaps next seasons points limit may already in the main have been agreed in Champ based on his latest comments on British Speedway Site today i.e: “We have already been working on a side that we can believe can challenge on all fronts next season. It’s no less than the supporters of our great club deserve.” If thats the case one could assume the Matt & Danny are well ahead in planning the Pirates line up for 2027. I know promoter annual meeting is only in Nov normally but a lot is near enough agreed well in advance with many riders already pre agrred or signed up. Would love to know if Bailey intends to do UK in 2027. Assuming that the Fords would be willing to help finance such a bold move maybe jointly with a Prem Team. Assuming of course that as a foreign junior (mainly riding POL U24) he falls outside the POL 2 team rule planned for 2027.
TigerIain Posted yesterday at 05:38 PM Report Share Posted yesterday at 05:38 PM I thought Glaagow helping out Workington last year was something to do with visas/work permits but could be wrong. The 1 rider over 8.00 was brought in as there were 9 teams and 9 riders above 8 (Cook was 10th on 7.99 after UK reduction). If kept, speedway has a habit of not keeping rules, would it be changed to whatever figure is between the 9th and 10th averaged riders (after UK reduction)? Genuinely can't see Bomber at Poole in 2027. The slick track doesn't suit his style and I can't see the Fords changing their track to make it suit him (as it didn't fit their successful business model). If he's not back at Glasgow then I think he'll sign somewhere where there is more dirt for him to race on, even if it's less money than Poole are offering, as I think that enjoying his racing means more to Bomber. I would expect Lawson to be number 1 at Poole again in 2027
Neila Posted yesterday at 07:02 PM Report Share Posted yesterday at 07:02 PM Why are you talking about 2027 🤔 some polish teams have got riders signed and announced for 2028 😜
Bitza
A decent night for Richard, Zac, and Will. Will ought to be the Fords number one priority for 27. IMO

The state of British speedway nobody is safe imo, poole maybe strong in there own bubble but that could easily burst at any time stadium availability, 1 league, race nights, no one to ride against are just a few reasons why it isn't safe imo.

Money talks. Just depends if that tv deal is in the offing... And the attitude from some towards 'that geezer at Ipswich' comes across as unbelievably negative. For the life of me I can't work out why. All he wants to do is improve British Speedway and get it to a place where it is thriving rather than barely surviving. That @SteveArena pops up on various threads sticking the boot in on Richard Coleman. He has a bit of an unhealthy obsession with the bloke for some strange reason.
