aarongaleuk
That's the assumption based on the cryptic trailer, but do we have any other evidence of that? WB didn't want it anymore so clearly if it runs Richard Coleman wants to keep the temporary tracks. What I would like to see is for Mayfield to come out and say that Cardiff will be back next year and to make it clear to people they need to use it and if people don't turn out it will dropped, give people a chance again with Richard Coleman at the helm. Neila
Warsaw will guarantee a 50000 crowd even if it's a temporary track, and I would think it's a lot cheaper to hire than Cardiff, so unfortunately think we have seen the last of Cardiff

No assumption. If it was a rumour i would have said so- that is the date for the GP !!! WBD wanted out of the contract- nothing to do with Warsaw. They just missed a year to hold a GP much the same as Wroclaw did in 2023 to hold the SWC- no GP there that season. aarongaleuk
Thanks I understand all of that, just wanted to know where you got the information, because if it is the same trailer as everybody else saw we can't go booking flights and hotels based on the teaser alone. Polish media have gone into print with the date and wasn’t it announced on the evening ?

I thought the Welsh government paid into Cardiff, helping tourism or something, and that contract has now expired. If that is so the making money figures work becomes more difficult. BomberHammer
Does the contract with TNT end at the end of this season ? If it is, is there any news of a new contract being signed or anyone else taking over, Thanks

But have kept the worldwide TV bit of the contract so that must have at least 4 years left. TNT Sports are part of that group so i can imagine the GP’s are going nowhere. It’s the SGP 2, SON 2, SGP 3 that worry me more !!!
racers and royals
Reports in the Polish media are saying that Vojens have signed a new contract to host a GP in 2027,28 and 29.

Quite expected since there isn't much alternatives in Denmark.

Or Ipswich and glasgow and no manchester Which way will it go I was under the impression Coleman was looking more to 2028 than next year for Ipswich. There’s a bit to do with track and pit area to get it GP ready. He wants to pony up rent upfront in one lump sum to have more access to Foxhall to get things done that he wants. Last I heard he hadn’t got the green light on that but things could have changed last few weeks. We’ll see.

A bit to do with the track... more like lot's to do with the track it's an absolute disgrace at the minute, has been bad for years. Just move it back to Cardiff where you know you'll be guarenteed racing.

It doesn’t throw up consistently good racing like the NSS of course it doesn’t, but I’d love to see something a bit different and see how the GP boys handle the circuit. Rather than have all tracks of a similar size and style, there should be more variation of styles IMO to find the ultimate rider at the end of the year. Ghostwalker
Swedish GP needs a host as Måilla's contract ended this year and Västervik's contract doesn't start until 2028. in 2027 with Västervik hosting SWC and Lejonen hosting SEC the question is if there is room for a third event in Småland (if Målilla opts for another year) due the proximity of each other (even if Gislaved is a bit more further away) or if FIM/promoters sees it as doubt ful and opts for a more notthernly track (and if any of those tracks feels it's worth the risk of hosting a GP). https://www.eniro.se/kartor/vägbeskrivning?c=57.896083,14.553762&z=7.9&rs=57.301815,13.544383,Gislaved%2C%20Gislaved,218922950,geo;57.38915,15.815915,M%C3%A5lilla%2C%20Hultsfred,218923052,geo;57.75559,16.640535,V%C3%A4stervik%2C%20V%C3%A4stervik,218923089,geo Edited 1 hour ago by Ghostwalker
