Set the limit and then crack on building how you want within that limit.

The six current Rising Stars all have Championship level averages between 5.74 and 6.78. I'd say they are very well matched.

I'd agree that there is not a great choice of new talent to replace riders dropping out. Mulford and Pijper look the best in the short term. It really would be better having rising stars in the Championship

Maybe this year it hasn’t been such a disparity due to a couple exiting the scheme due to age and/or average so not as obvious, fair enough. 
 

The whole thing needs binning IMO I’ve never liked it or the way they’re selected since the get go. I’ve never agreed with the fact that just because your team has been crap one year, you then get the privilege of first pick the following year in a totally new season.

Where you finished in one season should be totally irrelevant to what happens the following year. Nonsense.

Why would it be a drop? Depending how you want to build a team, you can have a 4.00-4.50 at No7 & it doesn't have to be a Brit. The Premiership should be the pinnacle of British Speedway, not a fast track for the bang average.

If young Brits want to reach the top, try averaging 7+ at Championship level first. Rising Stars in the Premiership has been a failure.

Don't forget the 25% given to the RS's, if all got re-employed in 2027, it would be an increased to team strength, not a decrease.

I always seem to be in the minority, but I think the RS rule is a good one & hope they keep it. By all means add it to the Champ, but not remove it from the Prem.

I'll use Joe T as an example, would he have received as many chances if it wasn't for the RS scheme? It's taken him a few seasons, but now scoring good points in the Prem.

Poland have rules for Polish reserves, Britain should do the same for British reserves.

Regarding King's Lynn, I don't know why they're always so poor. They often look like they've got a powerhouse reserve but it doesn't happen, this year sign a superstar number one & a very promising Brit & success still doesn't happen.

So Kings Lynn needed Sheffield to not pick up a point at home vs Northampton and then win and take the bonus at Northampton (today) to sneak into the playoffs.  Max Fricke, currently employed by Kings Lynn, then accepts a guest booking for Sheffield, and proceeds to score 9 points.  Yeah, that makes sporting sense to me.  Riders have no affinity to a club, it's simply a living. I always know this is how it is but there are days when I question why would I invest my loyalty to a club when the riders basically couldn't care any less what racesuit they pull on....

Jason Doyle has twice helped Sheffield reach the play offs in the last few weeks..

Best to not take it too seriously, just like those who run UK Speedway, and just watch the racing...

Other than Poole, Ippo or Belle Vue most other speedway clubs have near zero value and given Buster must have chucked in hundreds of thousands over the years he won't let it go for buttons and I can't see anyone willing to take it on either. To be fair on paper team looked decent this year but again just hasn't happened..

Re rising stars great idea but at championship level not premier level.
