Personally if I was them I wouldn't do it, its not that long ago they were hanging on themselves they now seem to have steadied the ship and are making progress would be mad to risk it all financially by moving up. The dream (it won't happen) would be if Cradley were back next season with Tolley ready to chuck £100-£200k at it.

Honestly Poole does make a lot of sense. With the new Poland + 1 league rule coming in there is no reason that we can't race on Wednesdays (and Tuesdays) in the Premiership. So there is no fear of switching days and they have increased their attendances recently.

The question is how much more do they need to charge to balance the books if the Holders want to come back there? Also, it seems the management are not interested.

I wouldnt say the management aren't completely disinterested. Bearing in mind I am going off interviews they have done separately, I would say Danny Ford has no interest in Poole being in the Prem. However I would say Matt is a bit more 50/50. He did say needs to be Weds and tv deal. 

Prem clubs saying they lose money doesnt help sell the idea! Although the Championship having a low points limit may push Poole up. Sure there is a points limit that will be a deal breaker for them and possibly Glasgow.

I wouldnt be to sure about poland plus one other.

I was under the impression that Ekstraliga riders could only compete in 3 leagues (including Poland) prior to 2027 anyway. Surely that new rule would just be exactly what we already have?

And we all know the pressure the DMU put on their riders to ride in the domestic league.

If its Poland, Sweden and one other write off any Danes appearing in the UK unless they race on an ACU licence which I think means the Premiership is in a stronger position that it has been for a number of years.

It depends on which league in Poland you will ride for. Ekstraliga and M.2 will be only ones that hold the one other league rule. The Krajowa liga will still allow riding in multiple other leagues.

I see the usual eejit from Ipswich is spewing forth again about how desperate he is for Glasgow to race in the Premiership next season. I believe I speak for the majority of Glasgow fans when I say "thanks but no thanks". 

Once again they are ignoring that Glasgow fans don't want mid week racing, they want Friday nights. We also get a healthy crowd of kids as it's a non school night (yes there was a poll before any fixed race nights and Friday nights were top by a distance hence the Facennas fighting to get Friday night racing). 

You would also lose all of the local(ish) rivalries that bump up crowd levels for those fixtures. Glasgow v Edinburgh is an easy sell to people in either city in anything. Glasgow v Ipswich? Meh, not so much. And way less Ipswich fans would travel up midweek than Edinburgh fans on a Friday

Yes, I'm picking on Ipswich (as it is some of their fans that seem desperate to ruin Glasgow speedway) but to be honest if Glasgow ran in the Premiership in 2026 there would have been no 'stand out' fixture in the calendar, none that you circle at the start of the year saying I must make sure to see that one. No derby and no rivalry.

Having seen the odd international match, GP qualifiers etc there is nothing that we're missing out on in terms of racing quality either. 

As for not seeing Leon Flint or Dan T in the Championship, I think I might be seeing them a fair bit next year, but we'll see what happens over the silly season.
