It was never going to be in contention to be fair. Let’s see what next season brings when we get a fair crack of the whip. I love this narrative ‘we’ Ipswich fans give. If it was “cobbled” up a few weeks before the start of the season why was Brennan asked to ride before Christmas and he held on? They were making contact with people in preparation, most riders may have signed to other club for guarantees but this was not a last minute team, if Mayfield were the money in the room and pretty much knew they were getting Ipswich they could have built a stronger team. They chose the safe option in my book which would be just about strong enough to compete without losing sight of their number one and two focus, the British premiership 2027 (not Ipswich 2027) and the SGP. TTT
Couldn't care less about the result because the play-offs are irrelevant to me as we've proven all season that we can't compete over two legs against Belle Vue, Leicester or Sheffield therefore it really doesn't matter if we finish 4th or not. All about 2027 for me, Musielak has to be retained and if he's not then a serious question needs to be asked straight away imo because his heat wins have kept some of our home results somewhat respectable. Reserves need looking at because we've made bang average riders like Kemp and Zischke look far too good around Foxhall this season.

Doyley tried all night as ever but he couldn’t be arsed in 15 also . Sad night for the fallen champions. We beat Belle Vue 4 times last season and very easily as well … but you did win at our place in 2024 when we had no Doyle or Emil and lost Rew after 1 ride Would have been a bit embarrassing if you hadn’t won at our place tonight with our weakest 1-7 in years and having a track specialist for once Im not sure how Belle Vue would cope losing Kurtz Bewley Cook and Tate and having Lawson Musielek Nicholls and Pedersen replace them …. Like we lost Doyle Emil Ellis and Dan T Still Belle Vue can only beat what’s in front of them and Tate in particular was outstanding League title is belie vues unless they choke …. But we will be back with a full winter to get a team not a few weeks

One of the best young Aussie talents around who struggled last season after coming back from a horrific injury. This season he's pushed on and is one of, if not the best reserve in the prem. He's went away in the prem and put some very good numbers in. Don't discredit a rider because your team are awful
SPEEDY69
Well done to Belie Vue, there's a reason they're top and with a slick dusty track it sits them down to the ground. I've never seen Zischke ride better, went past King and Édwards like they were standing still! Kurtz was trying in all his rides, as was Doyle so don't agree with some of the comment on here. There were some good races, Lawson is not easy to ride with and Nicholls had a good return from injury. Leicester next, they'll be hoping for the win. Not everyone is the same though are they? Brennan held on, so did King. Plenty of others didn’t including Ellis and Doyle. And I don’t blame them or anyone else for not gambling on the takeover being completed. Riders have to put themselves first as they should. “They could have built a stronger team” well not really! Coleman has already explained this. Conversations WERE held with Doyle but they couldn’t offer him the guarantees he wanted and he gave up. Conversations were held with numerous GP riders, they all had their season planned. You have to cut them some slack they were severely up against it this year. If similar happens next season then criticism will be fair game. I’m confident that won’t be the case but actions speak louder than words. It took Louis how many years before landing a title? He even took us down a league for donkeys years and we couldn’t even win a raffle down there!

Very slick and easy to ride. Can only assume they held off the watering incase the expected rain came earlier which is fair enough. Was still the odd decent race here and there. TB1
Belle Vue will win it hands down I have no doubt about it. What's more important is the sports future. Failure to do so and the promoters might as well carry on with the violins on the deck as the ship goes down!

Even if Lynn bottled it and didn’t get in the play offs, we are not doing anything in it. I did say this team is awful before a wheel was even turned this season. And also said Lawson is crap. The team is mid-table, that's not awful!

I don't understand why, just because you don't think your team can win you don't care? Is 4th not better than 5th, 5th not better than 6th? I'd want my team to finish as high as possible. Maybe it's a more recent thing, but it seems if clubs don't want a trophy the season is seen as a complete failure. Back in the day, I remember when a top half finish for Rye House was a dream season!
KevtheRev
Track was different from Monday, when it was perfect and seemed quite slick which suited Belle Vue who were so much faster and deserved the win. If you prepare the track for the weather you are heading for failure. Apart from Monday the track has been awful all year. That should be top priority for next year. Have to question Hurry's performance as team manager - im not seeing anything to impress. So unless we pull off a shock win at Leicester, King's Lynn go to Northampton knowing a win will see them take the last place in the play offs.
