have you not considered that unlike those lucky few with Polish Contracts, he probably has one very strong engine, a decent engine and a few that are not competitive at the highest level.

His spurts of excellence and mediocrity certainly support that sort of narrative far more than him being inconsistent

When we have a few mega talented young 16-17 year olds with mega rich Parents on GP engines its not always easy for others to compete on a level playing field.

Wright’s not the rider he’s been in recent seasons (due to injury, I assume) while Scott and Edwards were embarrassingly passive last night.

Tonight will be a comfortable 50-something, 30-something win for the Pirates.

You would have thought he would have used his best engine last night, paid 7 points on his own track is not good enough for a heat leader.

Beware the cunning of the quiet hero, Gavin Parr……last year was Redcar 46 Poole 44 followed by a draw at Wimborne Road giving the Bears the aggregate win. And they’re already two better than that this year…….

Poole will win this easily tonight, too many Redcar riders have little to no awareness of where their partner is or the opposition, Edward’s last night in one heat practically waved Lawson by because he left gap on the outside you could get truck through.

He wasn't great last night but came up with a win at the end, hopefully he will continue that. Will Cairns rode well until his last race.

Kerr took a purler and although he rode on might be very stiff today. Can Lightcap ride with a damaged hand?

Thought Edwards was abysmal last night.

He scored a point in his first ride because Newman fell, two in his second because Rushen’s bike was damaged and Kerr was excluded, then there’s the one you’re talking to where he invited Lawson to pass him.

He came off the second bend in heat 13 in third behind the two Pirates and I instantly thought; ”he’s going to hold up Wright” as opposed to ”he’s going to chase the two Pirates”. I was correct.

Think my point was proved with last nights performance. I like Jason Edwards and seems a very approachable guy but it's not as though he's new on the scene. Been around a few years now and needs to gain more consistency. 

Don't buy all that rich parents stuff, if you're good enough you're good enough.

Don’t need GP tuned engines to ride in Championship  You need to get the right set up.All this rich parents doesn’t count for much if the rider doesn’t have talent.Im quite sure that most riders have the machinery that is good enough.

I like Jason too, I mean he is to all intents a Hammer but its been eight years since he made his debut with Lakeside and I thought he might have come on a bit more, He often does not appear to know what line is the best one and also I think he is one of those riders that are too nice for their own good, he is a very nice guy off the track.

I seem to remember someone saying if we were still using upright's he would be world championship material which sounds a huge stretch.

My opinion on Edwards is he needs to be riding with a heatleader as he’s so inconsistent and that hasn’t changed for the last few years now.

think with the injury concerns that will bring it closer but feel Poole will get 52/53 tonight up the Pirates! 🏴‍☠️
