I'd argue clubs paying out more than they can afford is bad for the sport. If not enough fans come in to afford riders having multiple bikes tuned to greatness, then so be it. Riders can't demand what's not there. I remember hearing Jordan Jenkins left Redcar for Oxford because Oxford paid a lot more, what did that gain then? Besides once the other clubs are filled the rest will know it's Workington or bust (if it came to that). You do have a point, however, I don't necessarily think it's always about being paid more money, but about being paid what they are owed? If I was in that position I wouldn’t be paying them a penny either!

He has been getting at least a few pointers from Darcy Ward this year. Does he qualify for a visa? Could he be the comets next up and coming Aussie? It seemed nailed on they'd both be at Worky next year. Can't see them not being in the same side

Viv looks a real talent. Kept an eye on him since he first came over here and his progress has been unreal. Would love to see him at northside next season and I'll certainly be keeping an eye on him in the Aussie meetings in the coming months.

H20 Posted yesterday at 05:56 PM Report Share Posted yesterday at 05:56 PM Glasgow were into Viv when he was over here so don't expect to see him at the Comets next season. It's disappointing Tait leaving after all the help he got at Workington since he has been over here, if he was moving on to better himself fair enough but he going for more money that all. Drew I'm not bothered he not coming back far to inconsistent and not one mention from him about Workington in his words after joining Berwick mind after the rubbish show of riders not turning up for the presentation evening I'd not invite most of them back on that alone, absolutely disgusting and that includes Tait because without that rain off he would not have been there either. Hope Andrew brings in some new fresh riders

Neila Posted yesterday at 06:55 PM Report Share Posted yesterday at 06:55 PM Regarding the end of season doo, other promotions both past worky and other clubs have / had it in the riders contact that pre and end of season events must be attended. Don't know what is in riders contact today

Neila Posted yesterday at 09:08 PM Report Share Posted yesterday at 09:08 PM Don't think some of these past posts do the comets any good, if you have dirty laundry do it in private not over the forum 🤔

Unless it is Ben or Zach, then no it isn't positive! 😉 More likely Worky are worried about not getting a no1. Especially if Oxford and Glasgow manage to have a couple of them in their sides. I don’t see the rush personally, keeps the club relevant during the off season and deals to sign new riders from abroad logistically are more complex than re-signings or British riders

As for flights to the holy land (Poland) most leave early Sunday morning, but with it potentially being a later start at Workington in 2027, the riders would get to an airport after midnight or later, where this season it was possible to be at a local ish airport by 8 o clock Edited 9 hours ago by Neila
