In the current climate its no use a sport relying on the board to run matters solely by themselves. Sub divisions of proactive promoters looking into wider matters is required and they should report to specific members. Of course as CEO PM should be leading the business and day to day decision making whereas (and I stand to be corrected) it appears matters have to go through the chair for his sanction. The good news is that besides the board there are new promoters with strong and refreshing views, hopefully they will not be held back. Get Sports Gear Get Sports Gear Phil Morris is CEO only of the Premiership, initially put in place to improve the product for TV presentation.. Mondays and Thursdays are 'priority' days for Prem racing, as agreed with FIM, to avoid (or at least minimise) clashes for riders who race in other countries. For example,What happens if an interested TV company doesnt see Mons/Thurs suiting their schedules, whether it be from Mr Morris or Mr Mayfield? As there appears to be at least 2 very different camps, maybe the Prem and Championship should have separate management and administration, like they had back in the old British and National leagues

Tier one for the fully professional league and tier two for a semi professional league. with very limited, if any, doubling up or down of riders to force the two tiers to work within their scope of operation.

Under their own management means under their agreed rules. Why shouldn't riders race in both leagues if they wish? It could be seen as restraint of trade if put to the test? Bagpuss
Doubling up/down should be for young Brits to develop, not for journeymen to top up their pensions. Just like guests its got completely out of hand. Many supporters want their team to have its own identity which means riders who aren't popping up elsewhere in the UK on any given night.
