Like 99% of the people on this forum I realise you are a bit ( lot) of a c0ck, but to tell a 2x European grass track champion that he should count himself lucky to do a lap on what is one of the shïttiest tracks in the UK, just proves you to be the first class cockwomble that you are. You obviously get a twisted pleasure out of trying to be controversial but that comment alone is really out of order. Give yourself an uppercut you waste of space7 points

Hi all, our greatest challenge is our location sadly, and we too understand what its like to travel as we do it week in week out, throw in to the mix speedway schools, shows, and my normal job things are pretty stressful and time is always tight. Now, I am the first to admit we have not performed on the track... few of you will know what it is like in the build up to a meeting do the best you can for your club, fans, sponsors and rider and then get totally hammered.... it sucks, it hurts, it make me personally want to drive for miles and miles.... but then we get emails thanking us for a great night out, how much the kids love coming to the island, how much the first "education destination" group loved their visit and then there is our school.... all of which helps.... we dont have a magic wand, we are not millionaires prepared to bankroll the club - it must pay for itself. We cannot offer points money I hear of, engines, frame kits, - all of our riders tyres come from sponsorship (mainly My First Skid) as does the fuel. Going back to the point.... the island isnt an attactive trip every week.... once or twice a season I imagine its great and riders love it, but weekly its not so easy. The riders who come here must be prepared to go that extra little bit and in return they have 20 plus meetings at home. In all honesty I am not sure what the answer is, I hope our form returns (although we know we struggle as reserve and I have some, I think, interesting ideas for this for the next AGM) and our riders start to do justice for all the effort that everyone, including themselves, put in to the club. Many thanks Barry7 points

Think you have a major problem with Kennett. Star man without a doubt tonight and while knocking him you never mentioned the fact that he rode through the pain barrier after his grass track knee injury. Test Chris Harris who has been a shadow of his former self is excused because he is battered and bruised. Difference between the two is that Kennett doesnt get all over social media telling everyone about mechanical issues and injuries. You also say Chris Harris is a number one ...what is his average this season ?6. Kennett was sacked for under performance perhaps Chris will meet the same fate4 points

Obvs never been to a Wolves v Cradley meet Starry. The alleged incident last night, as abhorrent as it is said to have been, sounds like small beer to what I've witnessed at Dudley Wood & Monmore. Doesn't make it right of course but perspective is needed.3 points

A much better performance last night from Pirates. We were in the meeting and battling all the way but the writing was on the wall with heats 13 and 15 to come and so it proved, albeit with a comedy of errors in heat 15 making the job that much easier for Wolves, whose fans celebrated like they had won the league after their two heat leaders managed to beat Poole’s number 7 reserve from the tapes. Big crowd, decent atmosphere. Woryna clearly the man of the meeting, taking one ride to feel his way around Monmore before putting on an excellent display of fast riding and passing. A shame heat 15 was one step too far but those are the brakes. Poole, in this weaked state, ran Wolves close. It’s clear where the problem lies and a couple of changes in the 3 and 4 berths, plus Klindt coming in, will make quite a difference. Josh must realise his place in the team is now in serious doubt. Struggling badly and not looking like scoring. He can be replaced by Holder or similar, showing how much stronger we can be. Spanner as expected struggled. He did put enough pressure on Heeps for him to make a mistake and get through though. Big talking point was the huge roller by Howarth to get the big 5-1. The whole stadium saw it but the ref let it go. Disgraceful to be honest. The Wolves fans I was talking to at the interval said they couldn’t believe their luck on that. Heat 15 though was a farce from Pooles point of view. Wolves had Schlein and Thorsell of 1 and 3, and both had dialled in after shaky starts. Brady knew he had to gate otherwise it would be all over but the ref held the tapes for an extra second and through them went Brady. Then to add to the farce, Sundstrom, not being aware that he couldn’t leave the track, rode back to the pits for a chain adjustment. Now I don’t think Poland or Sweden have the same rules but it was a silly mistake which took away and chance of coming away with more than a point. But positive signs from the team and things will get better. Message to Gavan. You completely lost it last night with your trolling. Other than the fact you made a complete and utter fool of yourself on here, as others have already stated, you should perhaps seek medical advice on your obsessive hatred towards Poole. Something in your head is not right.3 points

I can sort of see the riders point of view iro the quoted bit of your message. I'm currently on crutches after my knee decided to pop out again. I've got a doctors line and shouldn't be at work but I am for two reasons. One, I don't get paid if I'm off and two my work ethic has always been that if you can you do so I'm driving to work and leaving the crutches in the car. Actually there is a third reason, I get bored too easily! Maybe some riders are in the same position? its a no win situation really cos we are quick to criticise if riders aren't riding. personally just as an example I didn't feel at all cheated when Shane Parker declared himself fit ten days after breaking his collar bone and rode in (and won) the PL pairs3 points

Same old same old. why are fans not of Poole always so worried about what Poole are or are not doing unless it's totally for trolling purposes. Numpty numpty numpty. Before even looking on here you know exactly who would be saying what.3 points

Yep, for once he makes a decent point. It is what I thought at the time but because its MFF it's ridiculed. Also I'm surprised Starman hasn't been on and told Adam's Dad to get back on the Swindon thread!2 points

How is a track slightly aggressive then? Does it chuck up stones at the riders? All clubs have their resident nutters - that's just life - as long as they don't go over the top it is usually just friendly banter.2 points

I certainly don't think any changes are required. This team is capable of hammering just about anybody at home on their day and picking up the odd point here and there. They just need a couple of wins and that would be enough for the play offs I would imagine assuming we keep our home form up. There is no doubting Richard Lawson needs to up his game however. He's scoring very well for Lakeside but another poor away score. He is on paper our main back up to Doyley and he hasn't been doing it at home or away as of yet. It was suggested the other day and I think a swap between him and Jack Holder in the riding order would be of much more benefit.2 points

Before you ask- the TV match in round 5 on Tuesday week the 12th June is Dackarna v Masarna2 points

If that's the case perhaps somebody should have told him the manager or the captain ?2 points

Firstly, speedway has no profile. The whole point of sponsorship is to raise awareness of your brand and/or receive some prestige/status from the sport your are sponsoring. Secondly, speedway doesn't know what its target market is. If you look around the tracks it is mainly over 50s, but clubs aim their marketing at school kids and riders are covered in tattoos and piercings. Which companies are aiming their brands at 50 year-old school kids with tattoos? That means ultimately you end up with business-owning speedway fans sponsoring clubs and riders, which will never cover costs.2 points

That’s because 1. the product isn’t right and 2.the regular price is too much2 points

Some excellent racing at the NNS yesterday morning. The Bahamas like conditions gave me a perfect suntan. Thanks Manchester!2 points

I thought the crowd was pretty decent compared to the last two meetings at rye. The track offers nothing on the inside, and the only line is around the boards. You can get good racing at rye, but a new track curator is desperately needed to achieve this.2 points

What dont you get? Any 2 pointer will do exactly the same as Jack. We need to stick with him and hopefully by play off time hes scoring a few. Would be ridiculous to change now.2 points

No one said that at all ..we had a second division supporter who said that the top division was crap .oddly enough in speedway it tends to be lower league supporters who think they are superior or have a chip of there shoulder like you .2 points

The reasons I believe fans wanting Stewart back (and Glasgow needing him back) are 1- Stewart was track curator and produced a track that the team were happy with, you can clearly see the difference in the track now compared to the first meeting of the season against the Monarchs where there actually was dirt on the track not like yesterday where it was bare, 2- (if true) Cami Brown getting verbals from the riders! This Would prove he’s not a team manager who commands respect but merely a fan that owns a company and sponsors a rider and is carrying out some sort of fantasy job managing his favourite team, can you imagine Stewart taking verbals from the riders or the riders even thinking of doing it? Humble pie probably needing to be ate and the call made to Dickson. Just my opinion.2 points

Driving home. Good to chat with him and the other Poole fans tonight. Something of a lucky escape for Wolves, somehow pulling it out with just six race winners. But there you go, nothing like a last-gasp 5-1 in front of your biggest crowd of the season!2 points

Well done Rye House although we still cant put a total performance together. Finally Kennett, Summers and a reserve does the business and then Harris looks totally battered and bruised from yesterday, KK chooses the wrong bike and Scotty cant make a gate.Don't be too harsh on Bomber as at least he turned up for the Rockets (not every No 1 does that when they are not 100%) Give credit also to KL the typical dog that just wont let go of your trouser leg.2 points

I always try and post without Stars specs on and I can honestly say if this were Brady Kurtz having to have a fortnight off I wouldn't want Poole to go without a facility. The two weeks need to begin and end somewhere, it was inevitable that it would start directly after a GP and/Poland as they will always be riders priorities. He is missing Swedish matches and the whole of SoN not just the UK and we are hardly strengthened by his absence. I don't believe there is any mickey taking going on and nor would it do anyone any good to have three points riding at number one for anybody.2 points

Lebedevs hadn't ridden 12 heats which is required for the floating average to become official. Until 12 heat is done, the season entry average will count as a floating average and Lebedevs' season entry average is higher then NKI's floating average. I forgot that Lebedevs only had done 11 heats.1 point
-
R/R is averaged based. For Smederna NKI was 4th in the floating average list since Lebedevs only had done 11 heats. In this caste it means that Lindgren and MJJ cannot do one of NKI's heat. Only the rider at one step up in the list + the riders with lower averages can do R/R heats. It is the same for Västervik/Zagar.1 point

Last match of the round now watched- Dackarna v Rospiggarna - decent speedway on the always well prepared Malilla track. The quality of the video`s in this round were excellent- the glitches in the previous 2 rounds look to be well behind them. would definiately recommend purchasing for the season.1 point

Fair cop but the trend everywhere you look is towards shorter formats, not just sports but in most things. In common with a sizeable percentage of speedway folk I am in my 7th decade and so 4-day cricket, endless tennis sets, FA cup replays etc etc are my sporting heritage. A 20/20 match does indeed last for three hours, but a county championship match lasts (sometimes!) for four days!!1 point

Have a look on Google Maps for the NSS. There is parking at Saint Peter's School, which is on Kirkmanshulme Lane just beyond the junction with Pink Bank Lane and another car park in Pink Bank Lane, which is close to the entrance to the South Stand. Both cost £3.1 point

My point was that IF you can get to the track then watch it live. IF you cannot get to the meeting for any reason then the TV is a good way to see racing and there is no way I would suggest you boycott TV when you cannot get to a meeting. I wish I had BT Sport so I could watch racing from other parts of the country when there is no racing I can get to see live. IF I had BT Sport then I would go to the meeting and then watch a recording to check out any incidents. My late father used to have all the available TV sports channels and spent a lot of time watching them but he always prefered to watch any sport live and I think he was right. Speedway comes across very well on TV and is great for advertising the sport but if most of the regular fans stop going to the meetings so they can watch the racing on TV then Speedway is in trouble unless the loss of revenue is made up by the TV company and at present I don't think that is true.1 point

Because no rider (other than a rider eligible to ride in the NDL) can have an effective average lower than 4.00. (See Art 16.2.6)1 point

Then the parents would be to blame. I understand the Stadium would see it as a issue but we go overboard these days with safety.1 point
