Hang on there, with two full 4pt away wins Berwick are still able to make a play off place with 37pts, Somerset currently sit on 36pts and have finished their fixtures. Granted away wins at Birmingham and Glasgow are unlikely but not impossible.

Elmo 274 Posted September 9, 2019 At the moment I would take whoever finishes 4th but anything can happen in the next few days to change that. Just looking forward to this weekend first.
Cliffeboy 577 Posted September 9, 2019 Congratulations to Leicester riders and staff for finishing top of the pile. You have been the best team right from the get go. Regardless of the ridiculous play offs you are the true champs , the best team.

Chris116 756 Posted September 9, 2019 Leicester must rate as top club of the year in UK Speedway. Top of the league in both the Championship and the National Development Leagues. We'll done to the Lions and the Cubs.
HGould 2,213 Posted September 9, 2019 Not sure Leicester would pick Somerset with Schlein, Harris; Covatti and Morris now in the side and Schlein a bit of a track specialist at leicester and Harris / Covatti / Morris in good form too.

On current form Glasgow look the one to pick, but if Starke returns from injury & comes back into the side that puts a different complexion on it. As ever injuries will have a big part to play, it would be nice if all 4 teams were at full strength & which guest Lions can get for Richie Worrall ( if he isn't returning). A few of the regular guest's that they have used this season now won't be available because of average changes & injuries & also you can't use guests from the other play-off sides. I just hope that the amount of guest bookings Douglas & to a lesser extent, Perks, are getting doesn't result in an injury before the play-offs start.

1 valve 558 Posted September 9, 2019 Stewart Dickson has done a great job this year and we can be sure he will continue to do so in terms of who he selects as semi final opponents. Obviously there are no easy matches come the playoffs but as League Winners the Lions will be the team the other playoff contenders will want to avoid. With SD ensuring zero complacency from within the team a case of respecting all and fearing none will barring a run of bad luck see the Championship come to Leicester. Now off to count my chickens!! It's looking like Worrall will be riding for the Lions on many occasions over the next few weeks. The question is, which one?? My money is on Steve. If it's to be a guest at Eastbourne on Saturday, is Broc Nicol worth a punt??
