Okay, thanks Steve. He has had a bad run commencing in the Aussie season. -

I get that but its as daft as a brush isn't it? Luke Harrsion is a considerably better rider than Fraser Bowes. It's essentially a statistical anomaly. The guest system shouldn't be about employing ringers for one night only. -

Check out Fraser Bowes #51 on Facebook or the Pirates website. His initial injuries included a pierced lung, and damaged ribs plus extensive bruising etc. He had treatment and attempted a comeback but couldn.t turn the bike without backpain - crashed again! He went back to the medics, had more scans which revealed a previously undiagnosed central disc protrusion! Recovery time 3=6 months, so his season is over! -

King 100% won't be there and unless his scores reduce massively he may even find it hard getting in somewhere else Mayfield will be ruthless with team building for 2027, very few from this year will be back Althought early days I can see something like 1. New Rider 8.00 2. New Foreigner 4.50 3. Brennan or Musielek 4. Rew/Ellis 5. Doyle 6. Rushen 7. RS - Today

Something needs to be done to challenge those in charge, but whilst the content of the petition may need changes the idea has to be better than doing nothing. The points raised may or may not have merit but it is the first time that I can recall having someone go to the effort of trying to get supporters together to formally make the feelings known to those who are the custodians of the sport. Many a good idea regularly appears on the forum and some may be picked by those in charge but I doubt few riders or club owners can be bothered to look at the forum and in any event probably dismiss the individual for the views they have yet most reflect the feeling the supporters. If a coordinated effort was made and some of those signing were to try and get some outside publicity such as talking to local radio stations, newspapers and putting the message out on the likes of Facebook, it might work as it may make those in charge sit up and possibly think. For far too long the punters have been taken for granted and none of us want to see speedway disappear in this country so perhaps something different should be given a go. As to the points to go into it I leave that to those with a far better insight as to the running of the sport

I'm not having a go at Poole here (just to repeat I'M NOT HAVING A GO AT POOLE) or Luke for that matter, but the guest rule is bonkers, how can a rider who has been in a clubs top five (and indeed riding as a heatleader for the best part of two season) guest as a reserve? Utterly ridiculous! -

Singling out Brady for not passing riders at Foxhall is a bit rich when every other rider in the UK is pretty much the same. -

I've never understood the view that there aren't sufficient riders around to run a 14-team league without doubling up. It may come as a surprise to learn that the list of registered riders on the BSL website runs to 249 names. What's more, I reckon the promise of 40+ guaranteed matches per season without the need for expensive international travel - albeit in a slightly less competitive league - will be more than attractive to the vast majority of riders. For the rest we're probably better off without them. This isn't a wind-up. The Bates announcement on Monday has to indicate the inevitable probability that, without radical change in 2027, we are certain to lose our sport forever. We paying customers have a choice: we either sit back and watch it happen, or we take action NOW to prevent another catastrophic year of indecision which will ultimately end in the inevitable. If you're one of the "sit back and do nowt" brigade, thanks for your input and goodbye. If you prefer to speak up and have your voice heard, sign the petition NOW: Petition · Survival of British Speedway Racing in 2027 and beyond - United Kingdom · Change.org

Then it's even worse as the likes of Edwards and Joe Thompson coming out of there won't get a spot next year. Also fear for Dan Thompson who's improving in the UK with every lap, luckily his rolling is <7 still but his actual this year is over 8 (today's Star). Similar with Kemp -

100%, but the apathy is created by the feeling of the sport just going through the motions, with no clear objective nor major rewards... The apathy, for me, started to increase towards the end of Sky's tenure and has increased at an ever evolving pace since.. -
wow that crazy.

They do that at Ipswich because it’s a pain getting out afterwards, one of the biggest reasons despite that track only being 50-60 min drive for me, is why I haven’t gone since Arena packed up. And I get your point about riders riding for so many clubs it doesn’t matter to them but for some fans, they only see or are interested in what they do when they are wearing the body colours of their team, if some fans leave early then that’s up to them, they paid to get in. It amounts to apathy on both sides of the fence, and that is not good long term for anyone, riders or fans. -
Or the time he rode for them before, we all remember emailgate when he was given the boot

Commend your passion and enthusiasm... But completely unworkable... Teams cannot afford to pay riders for "exclusivity", hence DU'ing is the glue that is holding UK Speedway together... Maybe an "Elite League" of eight, five rider teams, could be something to sell to TV and engage the punters?.. DU'ing would still be needed though...
