BBC or ITV will know doubt get in and amongst it with Richard at the houses of parliament the other month and putting forward a case on how to grow the sport. More tracks to come back, more coverage for the general population to casually turn on TV and watch without subscriptions etc. It’s the only way to grow it. TNT and Sky get the sport subscriptions purely for football let’s face it. People still won’t watch speedway even if it is available to them because they are paying for what they want. BBC and ITV would feel more of a bonus free sport for a casual fan to pick up when bored and nothing else on TV.

For decades, families scattered the ashes of their loved ones across the dirt oval, while 12 competitors tragically lost their lives on the track—sacrifices that went ignored without an official venue memorial for generations. To ensure their legacy, sacrifice and grieving families were finally recognised, Jocelyn Dare created a new memorial to honour the fallen and preserve the true history of Australian speedway. Australia produces world champions on the global stage, but back home, we can't even get a farewell lap at our most historic track. This was never just about the buildings. It was always about the community, a community that was robbed of the chance to celebrate a century of heritage together. Tobi would be the first name on the team sheet if I was in charge for sure. Just looking at his GSA though (7.92) I'm not sure if Mayfield can fit him in with a No.1 and Woryna tbh.

It depends on which league in Poland you will ride for. Ekstraliga and M.2 will be only ones that hold the one other league rule. The Krajowa liga will still allow riding in multiple other leagues.

Think we'll only bring King and Brennan back tbh. Want Musielak but his GSA is currently over half a point higher than King's plus Danny gets the British Reduction as well which would free up almost an extra point for a stronger No.6.

So the dates are published. At REDCAR on TUESDAY 22nd Sept At Poole on WEDNESDAY 23rd. Personally I don’t understand Redcar wanting to run a cup final on an off night and a Tuesday at that but at least it’s getting completed before the snow comes.

And we all know the pressure the DMU put on their riders to ride in the domestic league. If its Poland, Sweden and one other write off any Danes appearing in the UK unless they race on an ACU licence which I think means the Premiership is in a stronger position that it has been for a number of years.

I was under the impression that Ekstraliga riders could only compete in 3 leagues (including Poland) prior to 2027 anyway. Surely that new rule would just be exactly what we already have?

Is anyone actually running British Speedway? Tomorrow is the Championship League Riders’ Championship at Sheffield. A few years ago, the CLRC was genuinely one of the jewel-in-the-crown individual meetings on the calendar. Top riders from every club, proper prestige, packed terraces, and real buzz. Fast forward to tomorrow, and it feels like the authorities wouldn't care if the gates didn't even open. First off, the scheduling brilliance: putting it directly head-to-head with the penultimate Grand Prix. I know people will say "you can watch on demand afterwards" but Speedway fans want to watch major meetings live don't they? With Brady Kurtz right in the thick of the World Championship, Belle Vue fans and general fans across the North who might have fancied a Saturday night out at Owlerton are far more likely to stay glued to their sofas cheering on their man. Nothing beats being track side, but supporters choosing between a live GP and a domestic individual championship is sheer amateur hour. Then there’s the non-existent advertising. If you don't buy the Speedway Star, you'd be forgiven for not even knowing the meeting exists. The official British Speedway website has offered virtually zero promotion other than a couple of standard-issue, token soundbite interviews with Leon Flint and Josh Pickering. Sheffield’s own website just has it quietly listed as their next home fixture at the moment, no special push, no fanfare, no effort to pull the casual punter through the turnstiles. Outside of the Star's pages, you can't even easily find the confirmed line-up. How difficult is it to put a proper graphic on social media and hype a national individual title? To top off the farce: one of the leading contenders, an Englishman who should be a headline draw for the CLRC and one of the favourites is reportedly pulled away to race in Poland instead!! The domestic season's marquee events are treated as an afterthought not just by the wider public, but by the sport’s own hierarchy. I guess the die-hard, hardcore regulars will turn up as they always do.

I wouldnt say the management aren't completely disinterested. Bearing in mind I am going off interviews they have done separately, I would say Danny Ford has no interest in Poole being in the Prem. However I would say Matt is a bit more 50/50. He did say needs to be Weds and tv deal. Prem clubs saying they lose money doesnt help sell the idea! Although the Championship having a low points limit may push Poole up. Sure there is a points limit that will be a deal breaker for them and possibly Glasgow.

They moved sharply to replace Bewley and that has proven to be a masterstroke as they replace Bewley with someone who is possibly even more consistent that him. I felt Ipswich threw this away last night they worked really had to get a few points in front and then the 1-5 to Cook and Kildemend changed the match. Both Tom and Tobias had been brilliant in beating Jason proving he wasn't invincible and then they gave away a 5-1 IMHO to people they shouldn't have. I think BV are pretty certain to win the playoffs provided they don't get any sudden late injuries.
