Probably because the GP series they took over was losing money and required stabilising first to put it back on an even keel
-
Charles had a spin at Belle Vue tonight after the meeting.

And you have discovered the sport of Boxing down there too... Although... Your one an only fella did take a bit of a "tw*tting" last time so maybe that is now off the local agenda? Back to the Farmer's Markets maybe?

Enjoyable meeting on a lovely warm evening. The track staff did well again, this time in keeping the dust down on a very warm and windy evening. Plenty of good racing but I must say The Aces have been gating way way better this season which (along with injury) has always been our Achilles heal, so it a bit daunting for the rest of our league. Be interesting to see how our gating goes on Thursday where that skill is crucial. Out of the current bunch in our league, Foxhall is our happiest of hunting grounds since Covid and Iโm hoping the blip that was last season will be forgotten as we get back to winning ways. Norick seems to be finally kicking on and is currently averaging over 6.50 for 2026. Sad to see Tom stall as I know thereโs a gem in there. He left us around a 6 and his current 2026 average is around that, though he does have heat 13 instead of 8 or 14 with us. He takes a special kind of managing so a winter move might be on the cards. I wish we could fit him back in. Sometimes I hate points limits as much as I did rider control as it really affects riders.

Stock Cars are the money shot ..... With Speedway being the "must not lose too much" hobby... Same every season... No point in moaning about it, as it will never change..
-
I don't think it can be about the rider's anymore. King's Lynn fans have had this for years now no matter who the rider's are. Excuses from the management team are never ending as to reasons of failure but nothing ever gets done & the same septet is rolled out the following week. "There isn't the rider's available", "nobody want to come" blah blah blah. Yet, in the next breath, another team finds someone as replacement from somewhere, somehow. Year in year out, excuse after excuse but King's Lynn fans just sup this s#!t up like an ice lolly from Bonny Blue's dingy tw@ after 1000 gimps have washed around in it. Let that sink in ๐คข๐คฎ

Tom B has made most of his progress riding at No3, protected by two exceptional one and fives, at BV and Ipswich, who went head to head against their opposite numbers several times per meeting, and, invariably, heat fifteen... The fact they remained one and five shows their top level capability... Tom was very honest post the GB GP's as to where is he, and that is a long way off the level of a No1, even in a depleted league... No 1's of Kurtz, Fricke, J Holder and Lidsey, are Polish top tier HL's, so, no idea why anyone would consider Tom to be of that level.. Especially considering he even is struggling to hold down a Polish tier two position..

Can't remember where i read it or who said it but was mentioned on another thread on here, could all be rumours tho.

Bomber and Rushen apart, also excluding Milford as he did his job not good enough from the rest. If Fricke wasnโt fit enough, he shouldnโt have ridden. Cook clearly not interested and Paco way out of his depth in the Premiership. Kvech also lost interest as soon as there were a couple of spots of rain. Why do they constantly get the track wrong???? Never the same two weeks running! The biggest issue though has to be the poor gating from Lynn, absolutely awful. These performances are going to put people off going, especially as it is already unlikely we are now going to make the playoffs and it only June.
-
On course to become the new King's Lynn unfortunately.
-
Where has it been said Doyle wouldnโt be in their budget?
-
I think Rob Lyon hinted at it tonight but I don't think Fricke should have ridden, he had a massive off in the GP only 2 nights ago and was clearly still feeling the effects, it's a mark of the man though and how committed he is and has been to the UK ๐๐ป๐๐ป It's easy to get used to the many riders that take the pish out of British Speedway, even British riders, but we mustn't forget that not all of them are like that.
-
I thought Dan was brilliant tonight and showed great track craft keeping Fricke and Kvech at bay when they were on his tail. A fit Max Fricke would no doubt have swung this in favour of Lynn but you would expect the rest of the team to be able to cover better for your No.1 at home. Dickson will be pleased to get the win but he will have been frustrated with the number of times the Lions gated and got to the first bend only to be passed exiting the second bend.
-
Mayfield don't have an excuse then imo, Started the season poorly but he's regained his confidence since signing for Berwick.
-
That canโt be right, they promised to put a massive screen up at Foxhall which would easily be in excess of ยฃ40/50k
-
Mayfields are running a tight ship and it was mentioned before Doyle wouldn't be in their budget, their penny pinching and saving every penny they can cost cutting the GP series by all accounts.
-
If only there was a Speedway podcast out there somewhere where real serious questions could be asked of the running of this club ๐ค I cannot believe anyone can be happy spending ยฃ30-ยฃ40 a meeting for what's being dished up?? Yes, it's on paper of course, but, there's no chance Leicester & Ipswich should be above this King's Lynn septet. Yet, it looks like Northampton have a great opportunity to finish above King's Lynn. This should not be accepted by any genuine King's Lynn fan out there, but guess what, silence ๐คซ WHAT THE FECK IS GOING ON?!? Zero words, zero passion. Does anyone actually give a feck or what???
-
Tbf he wouldn't be no worse then Bangs atm, mind you he was was dropped by Redcar as he wasnt scoring well in the their 1-5, picking up big scores now tho riding in reserve berth for Berwick.
-
Yes he does. He started terribly for whatever reason, but like you say, is now riding very well again and regaining his confidence riding at reserve in the Championship.
