I agree, Lambert has been shown too much loyalty. Poole have never been a club to keep an underperforming rider, we just got lucky with Newman, he has come in and done a job way above expectations, the form he is in he would have been picked up by someone else. It would have been crazy not to keep him. We all wish Dan Gilkes the best of luck this season with his respective clubs.

With King's Lynn visiting 3 times this season and this being the deadest of dead rubbers, I'll give it a swerve and use my £25 to see Chris Harris later in the season. But I'll be following closely on Speedway Updates, especially Lewis Kerr who can take this as a job interview!

Interesting reading Simon Lamberts post on social media he said ‘changes’ insinuating there will probably be more than one change

If Lynn don’t win this then the season might as well be over now (I know it’s a dead rubber KO cup match but the signs wouldn’t look very good). 42-48. Northampton Foxes 1. Lidsey - 10 (6) 2. Batchelor - 5 (4) 3. Z Cook - 9 (5) 4. Kerr - 4 (4) 5. Klindt - 8 (4) 6. Thomson - 5 (5) 7. Harrison - 1 (3) Total - 42 King’s Lynn Stars 1. Fricke - 12 (5) 2. Castagna - 3 (4) 3. Harris - 10 (5) 4. B Cook - 9 (4) 5. Kvech - 7 (4) 6. Rushen - 4 (4) 7. Scott - 3 (4) Total - 48

I don't think Scunthorpe could ever be accused of a lack of loyalty towards Sumon Lambert, too much if anything. FWIW I don't think Poole have done anything wrong here, you can't drop a rider scoring as well as Newman has been.

Funny how it’s only Poole that show zero loyalty…..No mention of Scunthorpes zero loyalty to Simon Lambert…but of course he didn’t ride for Poole!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As a Pirates supporter, I was expecting so much more from the Bears. The reserves were nowhere compared to the BSN final last year at Wimborne Road. 2-5 didn't turn up. Maybe Friday will be different?! But Klint was a great signing, untouchable tonight.

Left field shout but I was quite impressed by Ukrainian Stanislav Melnichuk who rode in the WC the other week might be worth a go. Glasgow keep signing these ringers year after year, More clubs should try it, he certainly couldn't be any worse then Palm Toft. Vuolas, Kemp or Stevie Wonder he'd be just as useful

Kemp or Blodorn

Edward Kennett

Bowes lifted slightly going into bend 1 before losing his line and drifting towards the fence on turn 2. In real time it looked like Pijper stuffed him in the fence but the replay shows that wasn't the case. Pijper took a wide line out of turn 2 but Bowes had already drifted wider of his own accord due to lifting.
-
Bowes was so upset, in tears in the pits especially after being blocked against the pit fence by Pijper in his 2nd ride and then engine troubles in his last. Good to see him putting g some extra laps in after the meeting. Incidentally Klindt clocked the fastest time of the season so far. All times were fast compared to previous weeks. Also well worthy of a mention and Sponsors Rider of the Night, Will Cairns - 11 points as well as a heat 14 blown engine on his lap of honour .

He was taken out by someone else. hardly his fault.

Poole Pirates Vs Redcar Bears 6th May Championship
Gavan replied to Shaleshifter's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I don’t consider myself a full time supporter because I have family and work and live over an hour from Foxhall so I pick and choose my meetings …. We have rode at home 3 times … I went to the first meeting of the season simply because it’s the first meeting and we all miss our speedway …. The track was shocking .. we don’t have the best track but it’s been better last couple of seasons …. I gave the second match a miss as it was Northampton and the third match I didn’t go to as it was King’s Lynn again …. However the people I sit with moaned the track was awful both times…..I will go to Belle Vue at home next week to see Bewley and Kurtz Would just be nice if for once the usual Poole suspects actually spoke the truth -
Poole Pirates Vs Redcar Bears 6th May Championship

Well yes, Klint scoring half Redcars points tells you everything about how the rest of the Bears performed. Bowes should be given more credit, he is putting the effort in, but he's moves aren't coming off. I've seen him try a wide line around 1-2 a few times, but it ends up with the bike in knots. I think he needs help with the bike set up and or ridding style. -
On the face of it looks like Poole had prepped the track to be gate and go and it worked because apart from NK the Bears struggled to come out of turn 2 in front, it was all over after that. I know it has been discussed many times on here but Poole don't have to cover their paying customers in dust and prep a track that provides very little in the way of entertainment when they build such strong teams.

Ah yes the regional draw that wasn't regional.🤣
