  1. Past hour
  2. Most teams will lose most of their away meetings. Northampton are unfortunate, because of circumstances, to have four of their first five meetings away, and doubly unfortunately that two riders are already injured. It's also a bit of a head scratcher that the captain didn't check the size of his home track before signing! Stick with them. Season 1 will be a challenge, but beyond that will be the real test of team strength.
  3. Disillusioned is the wrong word. It was always going to be this way. I've been through this before, at Elfield Park with a Milton Keynes team that was never competitive and crowds drifted away as a result. A winning side is paramount for a successful endeavour, especially with newer fans yet to see the intricacies of good racing whatever the result. 5 meetings is almost 1/4 of the season. I get it, it is what it was always going to be, but it needs more to be worth £25 a ticket.
  4. Klima the guest at reserve. Interesting choice.
  5. Hausl is definitely one for the future, he has potential, the question is how long would Glasgow keep a 5 point assessed, riding to a 3 point average? For me Lambert is better now, Hausl may be come the end of the season! As long as he's on his 5 point average, I'd give him time, but when it's about to drop - decision time. Wouldn't necessarily be Lambert, Glasgow may look for a new 5 point foreigner is this one doesn't work? Cliff at Edinburgh was a lot safer in his job, as they didn't have much options to replace him, Hausl doesn't have that advantage.
  6. Lambert beat Kilma 3 times and Joe Thompson twice passing both in heat 8 when guesting for us earlier this year. Winning at home is a must. Currently if Mario has to ride abroad we can get a 5 point guest. When his average drops we will be struggling to find any guest. Mario appears to be a quiet sort of guy not out going like Basso and Nagel. So does he sit quietly and just worry about his lack of scoring? Lambert on the other hand is outspoken and clearly a good team man. We only have 8 meetings left home and away, can we risk not making a change and as someone has already said with Leon and Kyle's averages increasing it has to be like for like. So unless Mario turns everything around on Friday I'd make the change.
  7. I wouldn't get too focused on the winning or losing given it is UK Speedway... You will spend the season, by the looks of things, using the other five teams' riders most meetings, so "success" or "failure" (on track) is a moot point... Success off track is key..... Looking at the opening night crowd, history of openings suggest crowds will settle down to around 700 - 1000, which, for a top tier team is going to maybe not be break even, however, that opening night income will offset what is only a short season, so hopefully it "wipes its face" and puts in strong foundations for many years of Speedway... Those who already have followed the sport will be vital in supporting the venture regularly until a local fan base is built of those who are new to it ..
  8. Think Harris is working on getting his average down under 8 to guarantee a Team place next year.🤔
  9. Today
  10. Should be a good night of speedway, looking forward to it.
  11. Poole far easier tie for them. Now your trolling is answered wishing Dan a speedy recovery a big miss for the monarchs.
  12. I am confident we will win the battle of the reserves, Jody Scott has been impressive and goes well at Poole but Cooper has outperformed him for Kings Lynn so it should be a good tussle.
  13. Berwick ! But we know that can’t happen👎
  14. I wouldn't say they are written poorly at all, in fact it's very clear, riders use their most recent average. Jeppesen has a 2026 Champ ave, but doesn't have a 2026 Prem ave, so they use his Champ ave converted. I think this rule is stupid, but also very clear.
  15. So who would Edinburgh prefer in the BSN semi final? Poole or Redcar?
  16. Nice few rain showers this morning then dry for the rest of the day. Let the battle of the reserves commence....
  17. That's what happened to BZ last year one really bad GP by his standards and he had Kurtz snapping at his heels for the rest of the series
  18. Yesterday
  19. Scored 11 from 5 rides at the EWR last year when Berwick were there.
  20. Hausl is young. He should improve. Lambert's scores are heavily padded by beating very junior reserves in heat 2. You don't get to do that riding at 2. His Scunthorpe performances have not matched his guest appearance at Ashfield.
