  1. Past hour
  2. dont worry about that, i can assure you there will be NO DRAW thursday. we will be lucky to get 25, let alone 45 😂
  3. If the score is a draw after heat 15, do we have two superheats, one to see who wins on the night and one for the aggregate point?
  4. I think that's a good call, get a US rider back in the series! Vaculik has been dreadful so far this season and has been in the series many years, failed to qualify and to me doesn't deserve to be in next year ahead of others. If Emil and Artem get wildcards that would also be great.
  5. Just having a latte waiting for @lbw to join with his flat white 😁 Another banana skin meeting for the pilots, last few meetings you all thought an easy win was on the cards, turned out you struggled to win, hopefully this one is a similar struggle 😁
  6. Getting out of the gate first and staying there around the first two turns was always the priority... With the acceleration the modern day engines bring, the width of the bends at many tracks, the tyres used, and the slick tracks, it is now even more required... An example was Anders Rowe on Monday, he rode the inside to keep Kurtz behind and Holder, who was quicker than Kurtz, couldn't get passed as all followed the one inside line that was available... Get out in front, make yourself as wide as possible entering the turns (at most tracks), and follow (again at most tracks), the one line to use and talent differential can be hugely negated...
  7. Well Oxford will feel at home at the wimbored road dust bowl, expect dust lots of it from heat 1 😛
  8. The playoffs draw will be decided by whichever teams the the mickey mouse tv channel wants them in.
  9. Typical nowadays after a good win we've no speedway the next 2 Saturday nights.
  10. Today
  11. BSN don't cover the BSN Series semis, but Pirates TV will be doing it. Link on Pirates website.
  12. It’s obvious that Courtney has nothing to do with the CarPark or we would be paying.
  13. Bit harsh that. If Ipswich didn’t have bad luck in recent years they’d have no luck at all. They’ve had the best team on paper three years running now and had the gods go against them last two years. A country mile ahead at the top of the table before losing Sayfoootinov on top of Doyle last year, and the year before the weather gods were against them. 18 points up from the home leg and in the return, the heavens opened and made it a complete farce. Riders were being wheeled out for races before the riders from the previous race had even left the track. It was a lottery which Sheffield eventually won. If the rain hadn’t arrived there’s no doubt in my mind Ipswich would have held on. People may disagree but that season on three previous visits there, Ipswich lost by 6, and 12 on two occasions. Ipswich again have the best team on paper and if they don’t win it this time, then they can rightly be labelled failures. If they go in to to the play off with a full 1-7, then there will be nowhere to hide and no excuses. Nothing against any of the four teams involved, but I personally hope Ipswich win it because Louis deserves it for consistently putting the best team together in recent years. Anyone else without a horse in the race should be rooting for them too. (Except for Lynn fans probably 😉)
  14. Bike setup does appear to be more important than riding technique these days, you could argue that bike setup is also a skill but too often it appears to be down to a rider hitting a bit of luck with the setup and then honing in on it.
  15. From a purely neutral prospective, I don't think you can judge it on one meeting last time out. I'm literally looking at last year's meeting for Berwick, and Etheridge scored 5 points from 6 riders. The year before? 1 point from 4 rides. If you look at the bigger picture, Gusts was competing in the Grand Prix Challenge at the weekend, and Knudsen finished third in Danish Championship. Etheridge and Hagon don't offer that sort of pedigree. I don't think there is any real doubt Oxford are weakened. In my opinion, a full strength Oxford side has to be one the strongest in the league, but how often have they actually been full strength? They've been weakened all season (which is partly their own doing, and partly down to injuries), so it's pretty much a normal strength Oxford lineup if you think like that.
  16. You are against a weakened team but it’s Oxford’s own fault for signing riders who ride in Denmark on a Wednesday.
  17. so a walk or not a walk is +4 points 😆 Lets see anyway, I look forward to it anyway nice weather and hopefully seeing 4 of the very best in the world ride!
  18. You are Clark Osbourne, and I claim my 5 pounds. (one for the youngsters there). Remember the idiots who said Workington would never be back? Remember the fools who thought Belle Vue's NSS could never be built? Remember the dumb-dumbs who thought Oxford would never re-open. Speedway tracks may come and go, but there will always be nobheads like the above.
  19. A rare home Thursday race night for the Stars in 2025 with the perfect opportunity to collect 3 points. After the surprise win on Monday at Perry Barr (hold my hands up did not expect Lewi Kerr to be our saviour), Lynn must come into this one fully expecting a convincing win. Ben Cook is due to make his second comeback at reserve this time and he should fill his boots. Musielak and Zagar will put up some resistance, but the Stars should have far too much to see them reach 50 points easily. I’m going with a 54-36 scoreline. KLS 1. Kvech - 11 (5) 2. Iversen - 7 (4) 3. Harris - 7 (4) 4. Lawson - 10 (5) 5. Klindt - 6 (4) 6. Cook - 11 (5) 7. Harrison - 2 (3) Total - 54 BB 1. Musielak - 12 (6) 2. Jeppesen - 3 (4) 3. Rew - 4 (4) 4. Castagna - 1 (3) 5. Zagar - 9 (5) 6. Barker - 6 (5) 7. Hagon - 1 (3) Total - 36
