He has stepped up from number 4 to a decent No3. I will presume you are on the wind up? -

The up and coming Leon Flint seems to be struggling to fulfill his promise. -

Yet Kennett still beat the up-and-coming British star, Leon Flint?, Even though Kennett hasn't ridden at this level for a few years. If he ain't up to it, don't say too much about the others then!! -
Not a bad meeting so far. Josh Pickering is definitely on the pace and if they continue to serve this level of entertainment on a Thursday night with live TV coverage, British speedway on Thursday is being seriously challenged and simply adds to the the decline of the current format. Speedway UK and the muppets in charge need to recognise that what you offer when put on a par with tonight’s Polish offering simply does not cut it. Forget everything else’s and start afresh because the muppets who are the cause of the dwindling support are shafting every supporter. Why go to a Thursday night track in the UK when the Poles offer a product that far outranks the live offering in the UK.

... and the unofficial line? -
The new Northampton safety fence that was coming next week a month ago looks remarkably identical to the King's Lynn fence... Start of meeting delayed due to a rider getting a puncture in the pits and he's changing his tyre... one day they'll manage to start on time 🤷♂️ ... at least they've recruited a Mr Fox 🦊

Yes tiggers will be on a high and surely bomber can't be as poor as at Oxford. Could be a close one, and the tiggers are bringing a bus of supporters down, plus many in cars, so come on comets fans bring your friends and pack out the GT tyres Northside arena and hopefully cheer on the comets to a win and bonus points 😃🔵⚪🏁 -
Danish League 2026 Week 8 Wednesday 24th June
arnieg replied to racers and royals's topic in International World of Speedway
From the latest Cheetah's Chronicle: Another Dane, Marcus Birkemose with paid twelve for Krosno Wolves, provided the most interesting story of the day. Back in 2022 18-year-old Marcus, already regarded as a difficult rider to handle, counted among the hottest prospects in speedway. That all came crashing down when he received a two year ban for smoking marijuana. He made a quiet return last season riding for Gdansk in the Polish third tier (and Slangerup back in Denmark). This year he’s moved to Krosno and has been scoring freely. From what I saw he hasn’t lost his ability to work the track, switching lines in an instant, the sort of rider it is a joy to watch. If his ‘Kevin the teenager’ years are well and truly behind him he could still go far in the sport. oops -

Apart from when they bashed us in the KO cup at Foxhall 53 -37. Lance King with a 15 maximum. Paulo Salvetelli with 4 doughnuts that night! Ah those were the days! -
Hearing that an ex-Hitman will be making a comeback in a Pairs event at Buxton on Sunday after several years "away". Will be interesting to see if all the supporters stay away on Sunday as many promised they would.

Easy league points !!! -
Its England V Scotland this Saturday afternoon, Sea Lions v Rampant Lion...........err no not Football. Workington will be trying for all the League points including the bonus but I have a feeling it will not be as easy as last years big win against the Tigers. Workington will feature the new signing of Drew Kemp and hopefully will score a few points on his Comets debut, whilst the Tigers will be full of confidence after their good away win at Oxford on Wednesday evening. The weather in Workington is looking fine for Saturday so hopefully we will see some great racing , Glasgow usually bring plenty of support to Workington so it should be a good atmosphere at the GT Tyres Arena.

I did laugh when schroek described the defeat at Workington as a good defeat. thought he was wrong to blame the reserves as he choose a top heavy team and the consequences of that is weaker reserves signing his mate Riss ,who for the fourth year running is unfortunately not able to ride due to his eye issues. Always a big risk especially as big hitting replacements are hard to find. thought the track was better than normal in respect of the dust but it seems the watering equipment is far from adequate.
