  1. Past hour
  2. According to Mark Lemon in the Speedway Star, the promoters (who and how many not confirmed), and some "outside investors"... Attracting a fanbase to support a team put together by the owners and promoters of some/all (?) of your opponents in the same league could be a bit of a tough sell... If they don't do well some may not be "too surprised" given their opponents put the team together..
  3. No media day this year and now they are ditching the British speedway podcast as well as a cost cutting measure. Apparently due to no tv deal. This is a great shame as it was a very good professional podcast It seems utter madness to not have either to promote our sport. We now have Northampton which is a fantastic boost for the sport but that’s a bigger secret than the Masons. What on earth do those supposedly running the premiership thinking of. We should be looking up to the levels of Poole and Glasgow rather than dumbing down to the levels of Scunthorpe two of the best things to emerge in the last ten years are BSN and Team GB Which shows what can be achieved with competent forward thinking management.
  4. Good to see some new riders coming through. I hear Cairnds is quite useful too.
  5. I wish Northampton well , but it does look a bit of cobbled together by Premiership Promotions to save theirselves.Who is chipping in the cash to get this project up and running though is the question that remains a mystery .
  6. Yes. They will, especially as he is already an established Redcar rider from last season, and a few before that. As opposed to someone who they had just signed from somewhere else. Initially the facility will be for 28 days, but I wouldn't see a problem with that being extended if necessary.
  7. Palovaara scored a very respectable 9 for Newcastle select against Redcar last night. Fingers crossed he can maintain that Kind of scoring when he takes to the track as a Bandit.
  8. If that Newcastle was signed to ride in the championship this year with relevant reductions etc I make it about 2.6 points over
  9. Indeed, they could be be on the phone a fair bit in the next few days/weeks. It's certainly not an ideal start for the newcomers...
  10. Today
  11. Sorry about the abstract post, but mÿ tablet was playing up and posted acciden̈tally before Ì finished could not be arsed redoʻin̈g ìt The poin̈t about the track was whilst smooth ìt was ultra sick with noʻ material for grip and when̈ Charles needed some grip he got none àn̈d got inǰured because of ìt
  12. How many points where Newcastle over the points limit if it had been a league match rather than the Tyne-Tees trophy?
  13. And how is Iversen injury as well as I’d say he was a dead cert for a team place as well
  14. The track could have been poor due to a very very wet winter and not being able to get on the track prior to a couple of days before the meeting. I live on the outskirts of Workington, just dug me garden over and the soil is the wettest I've known in over 30 years 😧. Always dig over late teens of march.
  15. Well, if Charles Wright was pencilled in for Northampton, they will now have to find a replacement...
  16. Do they get a facility for him, with him not having ridden in an official match? Not sure of the rules on this.
  17. I would imagine Danny will get a few guest bookings for Charles.
  18. Season over before it even started. Best wishes to charles on a full recovery.
  19. Update on the bears Facebook page. Charles has dislocated and fractured his shoulder. Maybe someone could post the link I’m useless at stuff like that.
  20. Not one called Rushden either, as far as i know, but posters keep mentioning them.
  21. There was an MK MDL team a few years ago, until the nomadic teams were abolished. Some fans came to Birmingham, at least.
  22. Are zee two Brutish Earmen stool hideeng in zee cupberrrrd, René....?
  23. How can it be facts when they haven't had their first meeting yet.
