Suppose this result goes some way to prove that getting dialled in on the day of the match means nothing for the home team. The problem with that is that there’s an away team in the equation. And the fact that they are probably better has an effect on the score of the meeting in the end. Donald God Trump knows how to win away from home .. allegedly - Today

Don’t worry they’ll be saying it again after we’ve been battered at Belle Vue next Monday 😁 -

Sonny Springer is returning to speedway. I think its too early for Jamie, and likewise Sonny, but I feel Sonny will grow as the season progresses whereas I cannot see Jamie doing that.

You make fair points... I'm split on whether it's a bit quick or not... was impressed by his effort even when his own riders didn't help him by getting in his way or not looking for him in the first 2 bends. -

I'm not saying it's definitely wrong for Cooper to step up so soon, or that it definitely won't work out, just that it could prove disadvantageous if it hurts his confidence in such a tough position. He could have a long career in front of him, so thought "why take the risk"? Obviously didn't do Robert Lambert any harm, but most riders take smaller steps. -

I thought Cooper rode well tonight, unlucky nor to score more. He might be only 16 but he is a trier, needs to work on his gating but he will be OK. -

I do feel like Lynn were thought of as a strong team by the majority & Ipswich as potentially wooden spoonists, hasn't taken people long to change their mind lol! I always thought Lynn had too long a tail & suggested Gusts instead of 2 x rising stars (pretty much got laughed at for that). -
Agree but the kids advisors or the kid him self could have said no, the same as agreeing to ride in Poland and I think one of the Scandinavian countries, imo he is doing to much too soon, and the same with cairns

I agree with your first point, I don't see the rush for him to be a top 6 Prem rider in his first season as a 16 year old. Not sure if have recommended him as the RS either, felt there was no harm, starting in the Champ only & if he's scoring well, then look to step up. But I wouldn't say he's been "thrown to the Wolves" he could simply have said no thank you to the offer of a top 6 team place. -

One of the things that has possibly held Tom back a bit (in the nicest possible way) was having Emil and Jason there! Saying that he will have learned a lot so his chance to be a no 1 is here! Wishing him the best of luck as I really think he’s a great rider in the making! He pops out and wins heat one against Fricke which is very impressive! great result for the witches - concerns for the Stars as ever early in the season! -
You need to hope Cooper doesn’t have à lack of confidence from riding for Kings Lynn been absolutely thrown in at the deep end which is so wrong for a young kid

Agreed, imagine if you'd have said 30 years ago that at 48 this young whippersnapper will still be gunning down the Stars in the next century you'd have been carted away by men in white coats! -

My prediction was awful 🤣 On another night could've been a different result, some seem to be pressing panic buttons/writing off Lynn's season already after two meetings! They will have better results. -

Pleased to see Scotty contributing. Nobody is expecting double figures from him, but if he can contribute 5/6/7 in the middle order then job done. Think there’s more to come from this team. PHB will surely settle and improve as the meetings go on and once he does, we look very solid if unspectacular.
