MPT is but a shadow of his former self, as a promoter I wouldn't touch him with a barge pole. -

Really good match tonight. Zischke more than made up for Flint and rode very well indeed Redcar put in a real shift from 1-7. Wright and Edwards being the pick of Redcar. More than got my monies worth and looking forward to going back. Workington tomorrow -

I think some people are greatly overlooking Redcar because they're missing Riss. Now of course they are weakened without him. But even counting Wright, King & Edwards as heat leaders, only Glasgow & Poole have a stronger heat leader trio! After tonight feel Scunthorpe & Plymouth are out of the play-offs hunt, but still all to play for with 5 clubs going for the last 2 spots. -

On paper the Scunny team looks decent. 2 x 5 point reserves, the Kennedy's & Harrison putting points on their averages. If they want to go with stronger heat leaders, will suffer at 6 & 7. Then who will they sign? Redcar can't find a replacement for Riss, Berwick have 7+ available to replace Hume but haven't got anyone. Until Nicholls made his return, Champ sides could only bring in second strings & reserves. Apart from MPT & it seemed most Scunny fans were happy to see him go (from what I can remember). -
Wolves had the final meeting of the Olympique with a big send off from Porkie, CVS and PA. Traditionally the last meeting of the season and a fitting finale. Huge sentiment to anyone that was there so not sure how you are comparing the 2.

And the team were 1+ below the max. Good result tonight, have to question Scorpion team building strategy this season. As far as Pirates are concerned Kerr is improving, Cairnes is a quality rider who will improve, Zac is a sound rider, Lawson Mr Reliable, Tobias delivers, Smartie good for his GSA, my concern is with Anders Rowe's fitness, great potential but that groin Injury is it still an ongoing issue? -

Missing riders is now getting beyond a joke ,I though fixtures gaps were meant to alleviate missing riders and guests it’s not made one bit of difference .I have lost interest these days.Feel sorry for the loyal fans.Like you say next two local derbies with half the Team missing.Farcical. They won’t be getting my Admission money. -

The racing was good but it was only average by Scunny standards, we are truely blessed here. -
Forecast for the weekend and Monday is rain. Looks like another month's rent then.

GM95 replied to eide67's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Plymouth fans were brilliant tonight, Klindt and Nicholls certainly gave them something to cheer about. Good win for the Monarchs, there is more to come from this team. -
Maybe it's about time we considered moving into the Monday and Thursday league to enable us to track a full side . Once again we are a rider short because of some team GB meeting god knows where . And apparently next weekend is even worse. There are far too many of these weekend meetings abroad now and it is impacting us every week now . Anyway tonight was a decent meeting, well done both sides

They don’t have to be out, it’s just another months rent, it tells you in their press release, the last meeting is 25th against Leicester but this may change if they have to rearrange a rain off -

Poole just have that something about them that makes them better than everybody else that's why many people on here don't like them. You can all moan about so called dodgy tactics, poor track, certain contributors annoy people the list goes on but you can't deny the Ford's just build better teams fact, maybe they pay more points money I don't know and if people were truly honest you would all love your teams to be as successful as Poole. I have said many times I wish all teams were equal and you would get better racing I recall years ago the SCB or whatever it was called then decided where certain riders had to ride I think Barry Briggs was told he had to ride at a certain team maybe Hull but not sure still there you have it the chap saying Poole get smashed and Kerr gets not much well look at the result and despite early reservations he is delivering as is the new kid on the block I'm sure he'll get lots of guest bookings like Andersen and Ciegelski did a few years ago. -
If its true that they have to be out by the end of August then they can't fit another meeting in plus the planning permission only allows one meeting per week

The same as if they get a rain off between now and last meeting, they will have to pay extra month rent -

Problem for Scunny is Steve Worrall has not been the rider he was since his injury. Allen has faded to a second string, Lambert, who I like, blows hit and cold. Mountain is OK at home, the Kennedys are ok when at reserve. Young Harrison was invisible tonight. They are a coup,e of heat leaders short. Once Poole got dialled in they were the better team. Cook rode well and Lawson was pretty sensational. His best ever season? Fast and aggressive as hell, but never dirty. -
What about if they'd made it to the pay offs?
