No, Ben, but it could be Zach or Richard Lawson. Ben has the edge for me though. If he’s prepared to ride in the Championship again, he’d be right up there as one of the strongest riders in the league, plus he’s a trophy winning captain!

Who is the second U21? Killeen is already 21 isn't he?
-
Zach Cook I assume?

Would be heavily relying on Jan really stepping up and the two youngsters adding a couple of points to their averages as can't see massive improvement in the other four. -
Panels can be repaired depending on the extent of the damage.

Lee Complin. Danny Bird rode under the previous ownership of the Tigers. There is a big difference in signing someone that is taking illegal drugs without the promotion knowing, and signing a known criminal. But it depends just how reformed he is or isn't -

Marketing British Speedway in 2027...Can you help? Speedway United aims to bring together people who can change the game. We talked this week with Phil Morris, CEO of the British Premiership, about the need for investment into the sport and agreed to collaborate on this. Ahead of the 2027 season we need to act. Phil is keen to meet with a working group of people connected to the media, potential sponsors/investors, people with marketing expertise etc. to come up with a plan to bring new investment into British speedway. From our point of view in Speedway United we would like to see how as a community we could also help to get the word out more with the wider public about the package as a whole. Advertising the sport and making it easy for potential new fans to find out where and how they can watch it. It is possible that in the event that a lead from this work results in new investment that anyone making the introduction could be rewarded for doing so and hopefully that is a greater incentive on top of the desire to get British speedway into a better place. A finders fee in effect. If you think that you can help with this mission please email us at admin@speedwayunited.org with a view to a follow-up meeting with Phil with to start building a plan.

All of the big hitters are gone If Fricke goes back to Leicester and Lambert doesn't ride in Britain. Could be looking at another strength in depth side if the above happens. 1. J. Kvech 6.76 2. N. Klindt 5.76 3. B. Cook 6.62 4. C. Harris 6.38 5. R. Lawson 6.63 6. C. Rushen 4.74 7. J. Scott (RS) = 36.89

Doyle said the same about Ipswich so don’t read too much into it. -
Fans have been voting for days and KYLE Newman's name was certainly a popular choice on socials.
-
I think you are confusing ego with ambition & vision.

Danny Bird? -
I don't understand why riders say that sort of thing, if a team cant fit you in you are either out of the league or have to eat humble pie and sign elsewhere.

they employed a drug user lol -
I like your work there..

Will the real Poole Speedway fans vote for Karl Newman as rider of the year? When he wins that - then be the first signing for 2027 as he rightly should be.
-
I'd take a punt on Reid Battye if Kyle Howarth isn't an option.

I think he’s said the only prem team he’d ride for is Sheffield, could see potentially Brennan or Musielak? -
With the three heatleaders, Cairns or another 3 pointer will be a must at number 6. We’d then have 9.65 for two members of the top 5. If we retained Brennan, we’d only have 3.89 left for a top five member. We all know it’s a numbers game unfortunately. Our options are assessed 5 pointers, Kemp, Rushen and Howarth. We’ll have to pluck two from those IF Bewley joins Doyle and King at the top of the team.

Luke Killeen would qualify for a -25% reduction if he rides as a No.6 as it would be his first year out of the Rising Star Scheme. Team 1 1. J. Holder 8.75 2. K. Howarth 4.63 3. T. Brennan 5.76 4. L. Flint 5.99 5. J. Pickering 8.27 6. L. Killeen 3.00 (Minimum PREMIERSHIP Average) 7. Rising Star = 36.40 Team 2 1. J. Holder 8.75 2. A. Rowe 5.92 3. T. Brennan 5.76 4. L. Flint 5.99 5. C. Holder 7.25 6. L. Killeen 3.00 (Minimum PREMIERSHIP Average) 7. Rising Star = 36.67

The severity of his injuries and pain barrier he went through are not in question and no doubt were horrendous. I had my opinion on him way before he joined Poole for 2026 nd before his injury in Aussie. His scores went backwards in the POL U24 over a few seasons and when he was loaned out to lower POL Lge clubs his scoring was poor and not what you wouldexpect from a what was supposed to be improving young Aussie. He is 25 in a week and was based in POL for 5 years. He as then signed late for a 2026 lower div side that didnt even come to the tapes in 2026 due to financial issues. I always said would love him to prove me wrong before last season even started. Even I get it wrong as I did when Ben Cook first came over as I was basing it on doing nothing special in Aussie. Got that wrong big time 😄
